I completely understand and I didn't take it personal.
Yes, LSU really threw the bank at Will Wade.
Between Kiffin, Mulkey and Wade, clearly, LSU has a type when it comes to coaches.

I think it is either Archie Miller or Justin Gainey.
It has to be a hire that saves face for the AD after he has egg on his face from the Will Wade situation.
It doesn't win the press conference but it calms the fanbase and boosters.
Both are alumni so they will get a pass as they build the basketball team into a contender.
The problem is the ACC keeps getting tougher with Scheyer, Odom, Lucas, Enfield, Brownell, Louks, Kelsey and now Murray at BC.
There are becoming fewer easy wins in the ACC.
A tremendous turnaround compared to two seasons ago.

Archie is not a good high-major coach. Did a really good job at Dayton but was a complete disaster at Indiana and has been even worse since coming back to the mid-major level with URI.

Gainey seems a safer but he's nearly 50, so you aren't exactly taking a big swing on an elite young assistant like we did with Jai.
