Will these coaches allow Miami to play?

History tells us Al will get his *** beat again. Let's hope he is still angry and scared like the last three weeks. We probably should have flown banned over practice field last week and this one too, just to tell him we are still watching. I think we should win this game. We have the best RB, a better playing oline, a real live Miami quality QB, and the best LB. Al needs to understand he is being given a second chance to make his career, right now, this week. Lose and the man is done. Win and he is reborn.

The same question over and over and we have a top 15 defense i dont get it

eye test refuses to let us forget Lousiville, Nebraska, and Ga Tech

The defense played well vs Louisville. The offense lost that one.

Whatever you say, wow some of people need to lay off the drugs

We also held Louisville below there offensive averages.. and they've played FSU, Clemson, and Virgina. Only giving up 336 yards using that passive scheme, while we only gained 244. I'm not going to go so far as the defense played well giving up 24 first downs, but I am going to agree the offense was the problem in that game.

Calling a scheme like we have vs top teams does not give you points for keeping them down in yards. We couldn't stop Looserville and they controlled the clock like you said by getting 24 first downs. Florida recruits do not want to play in a scheme like a bend but don't break. Play aggressive and they will come. We got ran over by Neb, GT and Looserville in that scheme, this scheme has failed for 3 plus years time to trash it.

not only that the D created 2 turnovers in their redzone, which led to 3 poinys folloowed by a KO return for a td, that was where the Louisville game was lost

Petrino called a very safe game and we let him. We didn't put any pressure on their young QB.

Our staff went into the fetal position on O and played right into UL's hands.

This game was purely on the staff you can't spin it any other way.

Wtf are you talking about? Louisville had 336 total yds in that game while our offense totally **** the bed to the tune of 198 yds, 9 total 1st downs and 1 3rd down conversion before the garbage time drive. Defense held their (admittedly depleted) offense in check and even forced a couple of early TOs.

Could they have done better? **** yeah.....Dorito rushed three vs a callow QB a third of the time. Did they do well enough to win? **** yeah....if the offense and special teams hadnt imploded. Contrary to popular opinion it was NOT the defense that lost that game.

Didn't our defense get shredded by cincinatti for 420 yards and 34 points like 3 weeks ago?

Some of you are in for a rude awakening.

LOL, Petrino played safe that game. He would have opened it up if he needed to. Night and day difference on how aggressive their O playing us and playing the noles.

We needed to play aggressive on both sides of the ball and didn't.

It was actually 27 pts because Gray fumbled and it was returned for a TD. The game was 41-13 going into the 4th quarter. Cincy had less than 260 yds. We went prevent the entire 4th quarter which skewed the numbers. IF they had continued to play like they had the first three quarters the defensive performance would've been better.

James Coley will be the key to this game. He needs to be the aggressor..

He needs to call a smart game though. Some of the things Brad Kaaya has gotten away with (late to the flats, locking on receivers, throwing into extremely tight windows) won't work against FSU. Avoiding negative plays is key.

O yeah, it was an on-purpose 420 yards. But if he wanted to D'No could've held them to 260. Got it.

This one boils down to Folden v Jemima to me. As much as I tell myself we should win and that so many factors favor us, I keep coming back to the big question: Can Folden stop Jemima from breaking our hearts? That's a matchup that should scare the **** out of every UM fan who is thinking rationally.

He might bottle him up early, and we might make some plays against him and ride some early emotion. But can we sustain the effort for 4 quarters and do what no one else has been able to do--stop Jemima from rallying his team and making enough plays to win the game?

I won't be surprised if UM wins or gets whipped. Only thing holding me back is Folden and what I've seen him do in every game against high level (and against some mediocre) teams.

Oh yeah, in no way was I trying to say that the D is good to go. I just think that loss was more on the offensive side of the ball. We had our chance just like in the Nebraska game. If the offense had played the way it's been playing the last few weeks we might have seen a different outcome.. or at least pushed them a little harder and maybe forced a mistake or two. It was pretty obvious after a couple TDs they had all the points they needed.

No doubt. We played checkers.. and not very well. That was easy money for Louisville's staff.

I think we'll mix it up but I doubt we'll be as aggressive as duke/vt/unc which I think is smart. We can't let this team have the big play for 2 reasons. One is that winston has been impatient this year and shown a willingness to risk to's pushing the ball. We need to capitalize on that. Second is that we will probably fare well against fsu in the red sone due to the inability to run.

This is not to say that we shouldn't blitz at all, but I think they'll mix coverages and use some zone blitzes to try to get pressure with 4-5 rather than sending 6 guys and risking a quick 7. The game vs UL changed when FSU started hitting big plays. The key to our defense will be the capacity of the front 4 to get pressure. The athletes on this team and their quarterback wont miss mistakes like Duke and wont play horizontal like vt.

Hey Al ! You better forget that conservative crap - that's how you lost every game to date.

Aggressive or will we got back to play fairy ball the bend but don't break bs which has proven not to work for 3 years? Thoughts and Predictions on which style team will show up. My guess as history has showed with this AG we will play the conservative bend but don't break style but lets all pray this don't happen or we will get blown out. Please line chick over the nose guard that is the weak spot on the O.

A year ago, the above question was asked. This year's answer will be FRAULDEN FAIRY BALL.
