Will The Offensive Line Show Up in Chestnut Hill?

Richt's playbook is 150 years old! Richt can't scheme! Richt's playcalling is terrible! Richt needs to hire an Offensive Coordinator! Richt can't coach quarterbacks! Richt's offense is inconsistent! Richt pee's on the toilet seat!

Over the past two seasons the biggest hurdle that Canes have faced, hands down, has been offensive line play. Poor offensive line play has smothered a consistent and effective run game. And with next to no run game and subpar pass protection the passing game has suffered mightily. The offensive line has been...offensive.

If the offensive line shows up and exhibits some push and protects the QB all of the above will fade into the Massachusetts darkness. If not...

The offensive line does occasionally pass protect well enough. The problem is Rosier rarely takes advantage of it.

Offensive line will struggle the key will be if Richt finally decides to scheme out the offensive line by quick hitters and rolling the pocket or if he will do strait drop backs and run into the teeth of the d with dives.

Of course they will show up (maybe better if they don't).

Will they play at even average levels is another question.

If your running game is being smothered by poor OL play, at what point was it consistent and effective?

We are 5-6 in our last 11 games, 2-6 against the last 8 P5 teams, etc.

That's bigger than the OL.

But, I'm glad you posted this so I can give you your Red X which I know drives you mad.
