I think this post by FearlessFreep on page 2 of this thread is one of the greatest posts in the history of the internet. https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant...onal-prominence-anytime-soon/87669004/page-2/

"Miami Football

1926-1982: .546 winning percentage

1983-2003: .835 winning percentage

2004- 2019: .596 winning percentage

Canes fans seem to think the 21 years in the middle is their reality, and the 73 years in either side is the anomaly."

Yes, Miami will be back. College football is very much cyclical.

Miami football being up isn't part of a "cycle." It was an anomaly that will probably never happen again.

Basically the cycle of Canes football, to the extent there is one, is that we were a .500-.600 program, then briefly an .835 program, and are now again a .500-.600 program. And that is where Miami football will probably remain forever.

Troll poll. Polls still suck ***.

No. It’s too late.
This administration and BOT has let this carcass rot for two decades. It’s over,
We are now BC, VA, or Duke without the academic prestige.

I'm telling you, we are only a good young coach away from being the grim reaper of college football again. Our university sits within a veritable mecca of the best high school football talent in the country. We simply can't miss with the right coach.

and unless this coach can either discover every diamond in the rough or get permission for bags, it won’t matter. Like BIG said, things done changed...

I think the changes allowing players to earn off their own name will disproportionately help us, TX and USC because of the sizes of the markets we're in. The players will be able to earn significantly more in a market like Miami than in Gainesville, Clemson, Tallahassee, etc. If we can have legitimately competent coaching and some structural upgrades in place, we could get back to the top. The BOT is our biggest drag on sustained success.

Jesus! I barely have time to check this message board let alone create accounts to post retarded questions on others

Well, no... if it’s a cycle then l there will be another uptick to .835, in the year 2064 or so.
