Mallory has a great frame and tremendous speed for that position. He had some really good games at the end of last season. He could be a tremendous weapon for us but he needs to:
1) Be more assertive (whether fighting for a contested ball or blocking);
2) Be more physical. I do think he could spend more time working out & adding muscle so he becomes a better blocker and can really use his large frame to his advantage; and
3) Catch the ball more consistently. He should call Mark Duper stat and start working on all those drills Hankerson did (he turned from undraftable into a highly dependable receiver that made it to the NFL).
I think Will could absolutely terrorize opponents, if he simply works on those areas. He could be a great weapon. It's up to him to put in the work and also be more of an alpha dog out there. We need more nasty and less powderpuff out of our OL & TE. Make no mistake, Will can be a talent.
