If you watch Thomas was hit off the line of scrimmage which messed up his route. But I agree Mallory needs to catch the ball. Me, myself would of went two tights on the last drive because Florida couldn't guard them at all.

I’d honestly put in Irving over him if that is how he is going to play. All the supposed athleticism in the world won’t make up for not blocking and not catching.

I’m hoping it was mostly nerves because this team ideally is going to be playing a lot of double tight ends and often motioning one guy out if we want to help Jarren and the offensive line.

If this team is what we think it is, people like Mallory and the weak links on the OL use the next two weeks to draw on this experience and take it out on the next opponent. If we see more of the same from the same people, that’s a bad sign. Here’s hoping Mallory becomes the weapon we all see he can be.

Plus I believe Florida rush would have backed off. Anytime you see a qb in shotgun or is a great chance for a speed rusher to get a good push. That's why on the other hand Florida bunched alot of formation to help ease our pass rush, but at the same time out man us on those runs in those formations.
