He's been the most underutilized player on the team his entire career, in fact, he's still underutilized. They need to play 2 TE sets like the Pats used to (assuming Brevin actually plays).

Love this kid, he’s old school. Tough mentally and physically, big heart, good skills, definitely next level guy. Just wish we could get Brevin back bc I worry about wearing Mallory down as season progresses. Never going to 2nd guess a player on injuries. Everyone has their own level of pain tolerance. Just sayin’ some play thru and some don’t or won’t. Mallory will and does gotta appreciate a kid like that.

Not disagreeing, but he needs to work on going straight up in the end zone. Two games in a row he was fading on plays he should have drawn PI.

I think it is his knee. He has no explosion right now and is playing soft. He is hurt but gutting it out. He will be really good next year with another year in the weight room.

Yeah he’s definitely injured but good on him toughing it out

Those 2 are the most consistent pass catchers on the team, they should be on the field together as much as possible.

I think the timing is what gets him so open.

I think to preference is to use it at key times for big gains instead of all the time.

This is also why I don’t complain like some on the board do about running inside zone so much. It’s by design.

It won’t show in the rush numbers but when we got fake inside zone and find Mallory wide open that is absolutely a byproduct of giving that look so many times.

In his defense the QBs need to throw the ball higher to him.

The jump ball passes he usually gets aren’t really jump balls.

I get the hate for inside zone and I get the hate for how unimaginative the run game is but you hit the nail on the head. The runs where King reads it right and keeps it are huge, the RPO out of it are wide open. Those only work when the other team knows you are going to run inside zone at them often and have been seeing it in the same game.

He’s been amazing. Haven’t had a drop off from BJ. Having both would allow us to play Wiggins and pope less man. I will say we botched that late drive where we took 3 after the refs called a review and we couldn’t score. I thought we should’ve run the King fake run and jump toss over the top to Will. That play has worked so well and we hadn’t used it much in the game.
