New Orleans Saints: The Saints are hiring former Chargers head coach Brandon Staley as defensive coordinator, per NFL Network. He was an assistant with the 49ers last year.
This is the guy Harris worked for with the Chargers, I hope we don't lose him to the Saints.
 
This was the hire I had hoped they wouldn’t make

We’ll know real soon if that smoke was real or not, him being “in his office” this week really was meaningless since the saints hadn’t made this official yet. They aren’t going to announce the defensive position hires before the DC
 
He coached with Staley one year, right? And it must have NOT been a great year, as Staley got canned.

Certainly could happen, but I'm not shivering over a one year relationship.

In fairness Harris wasn’t even the DB coach, he was the assistant to the DB coach so idk how much of that year you could put on Harris
 
My point is how much magnetism does this job and former coach have?

Maybe plenty. Maybe nothing.

No doubt

Another aspect of this to is also the NFL culture vs CFB now, I place no blame on guys wanted to jump to the pros and not deal with NIL/Portal

I know many initial reaction to him getting drafted was "wHaT aBoUt kEiOnTe?!" but really salute to Harri/staff with Jakobe because dude really went from a bench player and not on any scouts board, and told he was just leaving for last pay day to actually getting drafted in top 100 picks..

Really doesnt get talked about enough, that is such a huge win and feather in cap and should be sold on trail.. Its so funny to see Tenn fans talk about it also, it blows their mind..

Hope he balls out..
