i thought title 9 would crush them last year. i'm afraid there is nothing to see here. next
the world doesn't care about anything anymore.
it is the new USA.
#Change&Hope lol Welcome to America

You're a class A douche. How long have schools been covering for star athletes. Ain't nothing hope and change about Nebraska when they allowed that dude to get away with rape under Osbourne. Oh yeah, the same hope and change that allowed Joe Pa, former american hero to allow Sandusky to rape dozens of boys over decades and decades. Thats all recent new America, never would have happened in good ole America. But don't worry those was Obama's fault as well. They have never wronged women, blacks, the indians. That's all the new America you speak of. Tool

The Nebraska guy was Lawrence Phillips, played for the Rams.

The rapist wasn't Phillips (he just beat girls up). The rape was by Christian Peter

First, if he did rape that girl, then he needs to be thrown out and the girl needs to have justice. Second, if it's true that FSU covered it up to win that championship, and it's looking like they did, then it needs to be stripped and they need to be sanctioned into the nether world. Third, that corrupt police department needs to be cleaned out.

Or better yet, sentence them to 5 years of Al as their head coach. That will teach to sons of *******! Wait, to make up for that send Donna to be president so they can become a premier university also -- take a little of the sting out of the Al thing.

I believe you are correct, my bad. I think Peter got a chance and played for the Giants?

Peter was actually drafted by the Patriots and released after a public outcry started by the venerable community watchdog organization Citizens'
Action Patrol (CAP). CAP's motto is "For a safer more habitable community!"

Ibiswingz is correct. I remember CAP causing the Pats to release Christian Peter. It was a case of community activism winning. Good triumphed over evil because of the Citizens Action Patrol.

This whole thing is pathetic.

Beat that ****** on the field you pussies.

No one is saying we hope we don't have to face him.....but his absence could impact the game on Nov 15th so it's worth discussing.

I woud love us to had him his first ever loss (dreaming.....yes but...)

one thing i would add to the NYT article is that shooting a BB gun into a building or occupied car is a second degree felony in florida.

all of those players the article describes as having participated in "bb gun wars" and shooting at people and buildings and cars -- all of them should have been arrested for felonies, which would under the team's rules, have resulted in a suspension from the football team.

based on the pattern of conduct by the police there, it appears they undercharged as criminal mischief misdemeanors because they were football players.

I can attest to that being a felony. My idiotic cousin shot at his friend a BB gun...missed and hit someone's window. He was charged with 2nd degree felony and was given probation and community service because it was his 1st offense

While all that is legally true, it's no accident that the media's cross-hairs are pointed @ FSU right now. Similar cover ups and leniency occur en mas @ SEC schools. Rape, theft, fraudulent leases/loans on vehicles, discharging and possession of firearms, sales and possession of narcotics and steroids, money laundering and so on. The academic fraud alone is enough to cripple many SEC schools.

I hate FSU, but they'll not escape until their football program is crippled and gets out of the way. Just imagine if Miami had one student that was caught, on video stealing anything, or if half a dozen kids drove up in 2013=14 anythings. No wonder the athletic dept operates like paranoid crack addicts.

The day one of our athletics programs goes on a run...it'll be our turn again. Thank the gods Olsen didn't manage to start here, or imagine if the team was on a run right now. Their would be an onslaught of reports about how Miami fosters drug dependency, gives kids multiple ID's, beats other students (AQM) and the Figueroa/Blue deal would still be on the tip of ESPN & their affiliate sports talk tongues.

A tale of two Student Councils...

Our starting DE is suspended for the entire season for being involved in an offseason fist fight defending his infant son. Meanwhile this ****** is still running out there for FSU with a serious rape scandal and countless other boneheaded legal issues hanging over his head.

This can be as big as pedo st, its going to be very interesting as to what will happen these coming weeks

It very well could if it can be proven that FSU and Tally PD worked together to "hide things or persuade victims not to prosecute"

I'll believe it when I see it. FSU has gotten away with this kind of crap for years. Decades even. I did see a report that many of the NFL personnel people are moving Winston well down their boards due to his "character" issues. Somebody would be willing to take a chance on him if it didn't cost them millions, but it isn't looking like they want to invest top of the first round money in him. Bad timing on his part, being such an *** during the period of all the attention on domestic abuse in the NFL. It truly wouldn't surprise me if he entered the June baseball draft this year and went into pro baseball for now.

I thought he had to wait another year to enter the baseball draft. Isn't after junior season?
