The articles this past week in the New York Times and Fox Sports this week brought forth new details in the alleged rape case against Jameis Winston. Along with the current United States Department of Education current investigation into Florida State University's handling of that case and compliance with Title IX could quickly trigger an NCAA investigation into FSU. Title IX compliance is an integral part of NCAA rules and if we believe what we read in the New York Times and Fox Sports FSU did violated Title IX.
FOX Sports:
"Florida State University officials and Tallahassee police took steps to both hide, and then hinder, the criminal investigation into a rape allegation against the school's Heisman-trophy winning quarterback Jameis Winston last fall, a FOX Sports investigation has found.
The upshot: University administrators and Winston’s attorney, Tim Jansen, had a head start on the state attorney in Tallahassee responsible for investigating and prosecuting serious crimes. Florida State administrators, for instance, had all the police reports at least four days before State Attorney Willie Meggs was handed the case."

Compliance with Title IX is required by the NCAA and FSU was already on NCAA probation when this occurred. Thus case has all the makings of a penalty far more severe than USC, Penn State or Miami and the university did it to themselves and they are slowly admitting it. I would not be surprised to see FSU boot Jameis Winston out under the guise of Student Conduct rules violation, they must take the heat off themselves soon.
