Will anybody try to make an argument that this Clemson team is the best ever?

This Clemson team has an argument and they’re the best team ever in my book. That defense is outrageous and their offense is beast. They dismantled Bama

Give the 2000-2001 Miami talent some modern concepts and that offense would have been pretty insane. Dorsey just can’t do what Lawrence can do though

Great comparison. We were certainly better than we showed that game and I feel the same we Bama last night. Like them, we came into that game we the attitude that we would roll them. **** got real for both of us real fast.
 
They played like it last night, but '01 Canes would beat them the vast majority of times, IMO.
 
Its a legit argument. They average almost 30 points a game against like 8 bowl teams, most wins in college football during one season (granted they play more now), have nfl talent all over that roster and give me Dabo/staff over Clappy and staff any day of the week . 01 beats them 8/10 times in a game.

There is a chance that Most of the so-called NFL Talent on Clemson's team will be NFL flame outs. See, the thing with the 2001 Canes is that there were ACTUALLY a lot of NFL stars and HOFers on that team. That sh*t happened.

Again, the NFL tells you how good your college team was.

I only hope this is the beginning of the end for them. They looked seriously disinterested last night, and that's a huge issue.

No they aren’t. Really good team, great scheme. Their WRs benefited greatly from guys falling in coverage. Clemson has a bunch of long and fast WR. Doubt they could get open vs us in 01. Also Bama moved the ball at Will. They had some questionable red zone calls that doomed them.

Yea, Clemson has a great scheme due to excellent coaches. However, the 01 scheme was heavily predicated on talent. Therefore, Clemson will have the advantage in that department.
