Wiley Playing Time

He needs a chance. I love Marcelin, but imo he had the highest ceiling to be an all around LB. Would hate to lose him.
The chances are there but apparently he's preventing himself from getting them. It shouldn't be hard to earn PT in that room unless you're lacking in key areas.

Wiley should be playing.

And I believe his time will come this year to make plays for this team. And cement him staying
Looks good coming off the bus, so just anointing who should play. Why should he play? In the mind of coaches, he’s running 6th on the depth chart & only field two LBs.

It's clear Heatherman values stopping the run. Thats why Toure and Chase play, and we have an elite run defense.

Now I will say, if its 3rd and 8+, we should rotate some of the younger guys.

At this point we need to try him out as a rush end. I've heard Dmoney and others say he's good at rushing the Qb its time to see if he can do it in games

Pruitt is the one I can't understand why isn't getting more than 5 snaps a game.

And as much as we are talking about LB getting cooked, it has to be said... Poyster has taken a step back too. He's getting cooked back there and between him, Dunnigan, and Thornton I'm not sure who misses the most tackles, but Poyser really seems to have a target on his back in coverage too. It's puzzling to me why Fitzgerald is playing back on the outside so much. He is needed at safety/nickle.

Pruitt is playing through a knee sprain and probably shouldn’t be playing at all

He's been dinged up and is undersized to play the run. They have tried him on 3rd & longer

Definitely no favorites thing going on here… too many examples to support that the best man is going to play even if he doesn’t start.

What concerns me is given the limitations of Mo and Chase that someone hasn’t established themselves enough to take reps… and make the best of them, ex: Mallory and Dunnigan. I know playing LB is harder for young guys but the way Chase and Mo fit the run compared to how much better the younger guys are in coverage isn’t enough to trade off… a lot. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Ehhh not that much. And he has acquitted himself at least very well the little chances he gets.

I know it's not a clear cut answer and there is give and take with skillsets. but giving up 200 yards receiving to TE/RB, basically in a fashion that looked like men vs. boys,… Is a tough concession imo.

I'm not disagreeing with you ... I just have heard he's been banged up.

LB needs a serious upgrade and Heatherman needs to do a better job developing his room. How Chase is still on this team is beyond me.
Heatherman looks to be dog**** at recruiting and idetifying LBs imo, I am sure ash that Mario took over looking for lbs or something. I have no clue just guessing at this point

People get hyperfixated on a player for whatever reason, and will twist themselves up with all the mental gymnastics to explain away why they are right while ignoring a more reasonable explanation that counters
It's because Wiley is 6'4 230 and athletic. He has all the physical tools in the world, and ppl think it's just easy to plug and play like it's Madden. This staff has consistently shown that if you earn their trust, they'll put you on the field and you'll play. Whether it's consistency at practice or maybe not being diligent in preparation, there's a reason why he's not playing.

At the very least he can do the same as Chase and Toure in coverage which is nothing.. Let the young guy try, its crazy if he ***** up and probably learn and get experience its like

Mj No GIF

But toure 8 years, doing college twice and Chase 6 years and its they have experience so their mistakes are excused
8 and 6 years of getting beat in zone with wr's and te's sneaking behind them wide open

Just wondering how many of our fans would care and keep starting posts about Marcelin, Bonner, Pruitt or any other player if they knew the identity of the player relative name on this site? I’m truly amazed that we have fans calling for playing time for a player that they have no idea what is actually going on behind the scenes.

Wiley has the remainder of this season plus 3 more years to play college football. Why do yall want him to transfer so bad?
