Why would anyone want Kiffin?

Great Recruiter. More experience than any coach his age (still very young at only 43!). Great offensive Mind. I believe his experience at Alabama has made him a much better coach. The Main question I have is who will be his DC? I only would want Kiffin if we get a stud DC with loads of experience to be the rock on that side of the ball.

FAU went from going 11-3 in 2017 to 5-7 in 2018. Six fewer wins in a one-year span once Kendall Briles headed off to Houston.

Anyone vouching for Kiffin as one of their top choices has their head up their ***. Kiffin failed miserably at USC, which is the West Coast version of Miami.

Makes me wonder if he showed up to head rock in canes gear was foreshadowing something .... lol

Cant believe CMR did us a favor like this

He was 35, had just received 30 scholarship over 3 yrs sanctions, a 2 yr postseason ban, and the NCAA allowed all Jr's/Sr's to transfer out without sitting a yr.
His first year he went 8-5 and followed that up going 10-2 with the best offense in CFB. Third year they were ranked #1 preseason and finished 7-6. Crazy how in the 3rd yr of 30 scholarship reduction they failed....almost like it had a bad effect on the roster talent.

great question. Lane Kiffin has never done anything worthy of the praise he gets. he got FIRED from USC. he git FIRED from the raiders. left Tennessee after one year of going 7-6. and now has a LOSING record at fau. OH and the rumor is, the players on FAU team don't even like dude and that his locker room has been toxic.

people like him because he's an "*******" despite being a mediocre Head coach.

So you're saying we shouldn't consider him...interesting.

Kiffin is a nice OC but probably the reason for the interest is because he's so good at marketing himself and his given program. He attracts a lot of attention. That, however, shouldn't be confused with being a good HC candidate because he's been average overall.

OP wants Saban or uys that would never come here..only people like OP think Miami is a top destination program

I'll give it a go --

Prior to him going to Bama, I would've said no, but he showed me something there, mainly, his ability to adapt to his personnel and change his scheme as needed.

The scheme he has been running now is nothing like what he was doing at USC, but yet, he's still kept a heavy emphasis on the run game.

I also think he'd do well recruiting wise.

Most importantly, he's an *******. He would go out of his way to run it up on UF or FSU if given the opportunity.
