After losing to Florida to start the year and most of the team realizing it was gonna be at best a 10 win season feels like the decided to coast and figured they could put talent their way to close the season...

A.) Because the coaches were all cocky starting at the top with Manny

B.) players didn’t give a F... case in point JW missing curfew and skipping practices before Pitt and FIU

Question:

Would we’ve been mad if CMD would have benched all the “ go through the motions “ crew on the eve of a big loss last year ?
Would we have supported this move ?

or was our NEG and HATE so strong like the DEMS it wouldn’t matter?

OP, it's a great question. The simple answer is lack of focus. The reasons for that have been addressed nicely by several posters in this thread.
Props to everyone.

Miami teams go in the tank after a couple early season losses. Been the hallmark for 20 years. I really think if they find a way to win that gator game, which was easily doable, they probably go 10-2 or 11-1.

But, even though there’s basically no gigantic expectations since nothing gigantic has happened here since the early 2000s, these kids think they’re gonna win a natty and then just mail it in when it’s apparent they won’t.

It doesn’t take a whole roster of unprepared players to blow a game. A couple of guys at important positions decide they would rather be at the club than do the prep work and the whole team collapses. With what we know now, it seems like the coaches and players knew who the problems were. The question is: Do you play the problem players and go 6-7 or make an example out of them and go 3-9? Seems like a no win situation

Enos' offense and attitude were a major part, but it was obvious Williams wasn't putting in the work. I don't know if Perry was either, but he looked better in Richt's system, and he's been a good team mate, despite the demotion. We'll know what we have in the spring game. I know they won't want to show too much, but the ball should come out faster, they should be running plays uptempo. WR's should be open more often, just with the formation. Even if they're still getting the system down, the basic features like that should be there in the spring. If the offense is running like that, there should not be that many sacks in the game, so the DL might not look as dominant as it has.

Reading between the lines on this board too many party nights between games
Lack of preparation. Lack of leadership. That said, I'm cutting Manny a little slack as a 1st year HC. This year must be better on and off the field.

Consistently good takes and opinions.

The players don’t respect the coaching staff, and the head coach in particular, and are unfocused and undisciplined as a result. Looking like **** out of bye weeks is only part of it. We played down to our competition all year and would sleepwalk against all but the biggest of games.

anyone can get guys motivated to play FSU and UF. It’s paying attention to detail and adopting good preparation habits that set aside legitimate coaches from lispy cunts that like to tweet
