Mario,charlie,or this so called firm are not what we need. It's simple butch leading the ship and good coaching staff. That solve promotion and tickets sale. Recurits will come period.

I agree with OP. Butch will solve all problems with UM Football. Hire him immediately and watch the rest of CFB cringe.
 
bc we have no real AD? Bc we have fans who still think that our problem is the players. Bc we have fans who care more about how a coach looks than how he can actually coach.
 
I hear people say UM should hire Herman or Fuentes, but then others will say they are the flavor of the month. Some others say Mario should be the guy but again he is not a HC with experience (FIU? no good enough). People you forget Butch was a DC coordinator before coming here and become a HC and others say he sucked a sack as a HC in the NFL and a tiny bit average at best in NC. Strong? some say yes but he is royally fugging up in UT. Chud? not coming here. Pagano? give me a break. At least a committee will do some due diligence. if we fugg this one up too I wont feel so bad because at least we try decently to get the best person for the job.

It's hard to have any faith when the admin has shown us a decade of poor decision making.

Yeah, but a Defensive Coordinator with two Superbowl rings, and had already spent years at UM as a position coach, and had been with JJ for several years since Oklahoma State.

What coordinators you are referring to, have coached at UM and have two Superbowl Rings as Defensive/Offensive Coordinator?

Yeah, he scared h*ll out of ACC teams at UNC, even Golden whipped him. The guy is way past his prime, give it up. He's a last resort.
 
Because performing due diligence is the competent thing to do at this point?

Clearly, some people within the program/BOT don't think Butch is the answer. Korn Ferry helps in that regard; they can either show he's a true candidate with no red flags, or reveal that he shouldn't get the job.

People on this board are ****ing and moaning whenever there's an indication it won't be Butch but fail to acknowledge that there's risk involved with his hiring. They claim the BOT/admin are stupid/corrupt/don't care about football, but EVERY THING THEY HAVE DONE (including firing Golden mid-season) has shown that they plan to do as much as possible to get it right this time.

BBB might not be best for the program. You need to accept that. If the consensus is that he'll do the best for the U, he'll be here. If not, he won't.

Again Goldie never played Butch... And Butch beat Radio 3 out of 4 times... You have no idea what your talking about.

not necessarily true....people ***** and moan because the consistent alternative names thrown out are hot garbage, junk scraps (corch scrong, cuban al etc). If the alternatives thrown out were competent, established winners I wouldnt *****...but after 10 years of established incompetency coupled with the trash names being thrown out...what do you expect?

I would love butch or someone better....not someone worse (i.e. corch scrong and cuban al)
