Why wasn't Bush in on every play

I don't get it.

They don't get it either.
If Bush was in on Cincy's last scoring drive, we hold to a FG.
But NOPE!, we put our worse DB at playing in space in there, and He proceeds to get His ankle Skip To My Lou'ed in the hole on a routine play for Bush.
It's as if these DUM@$$ES don't see a difference between Bush & Crawford,

Or, they want to go out "their" way - themes and principles and pillars over football wins. There were at least 3-4x tonight that I said: "****, is Coach Golden openly trying to lose his job?"

Its either complete incompetence or he is trying to get that buyout. Golden is clueless so maybe its the former.

I don't recall any team that rotates five safety's.
Don't recall any team that rotates safety's period.
If Ed Reed and Sean Taylor were on this team they would ounly play a third of the plays.
It's insane.

We've talked about this a lot. I love the Safety position. I played it and I am fascinated by what goes into it to be good (now more than ever because of everything going on with offenses). I would have felt insanely uncomfortable coming off the field so much, so I can't imagine these really talented players like Bush (or even Jenkins to a lesser degree). People talk about RBs getting into a rhythm, but the same goes for a position like Safety - where you're waiting to see patterns in what the offense is doing. It's a feel position.

I don't get it.

It's almost like they lack the fortitude to make the tough decision and pick two starters and go with it.
Instead everybody plays.
Just like Pop warner everybody plays.

Hold up... My Pop Warner team is nasty and undefeated. Everybody plays b/c we dominate. lol

i spoke with a member of the coaching staff about this specific issue this year (not specific to the safety position). he said he is against it but it is a policy implemented by golden.

Bush should of played that entire 2nd half with him being out the 1st half. It's absolutely mind boggling beyond comprehension that they rotate 5 Safeties for no apparent reason. Crawford is beyond terrible and it shows week in and week out. I'd love to know how these players really feel about Golden and his "pillars" when they see him and his crew ruining their careers slowly but surely.

Can someone explain why the heck we were running base D against a spread team with our LBs covering slot receivers...

We sub every level **** near every other series and for no reason. No one gets into any groove and really gets a feel for what the offense is doing. The 3rd down packages I can understand to an extent but the mindless subbing is beyond dumb.

Another case in point: the failed fourth down throw to Stan Dobard in the fourth quarter. Yes, it was arguable pass interference, but Njoku is our premier pass catching TE, and needs to be the guy in there. Herndon would of been an upgrade as well.

this is exactly why golden's teams under perform

he believes it is "trivial" who is on the field... every player is an equivalent x or o to him. interchangeable. he will never intentionally put the best player in the best position to make a play because he doesn't think it should make any difference.

he is the anti-jimmy

The only thing we all can ask is why and how. We all know the answer, but it's impossible to comprehend that things are truly this bad.

Welcome to the sick twisted mind of Alfraud Folden.

This is a part of his core philosophy, how he thinks about the game. Rotate everyone in, build depth, no star players,. You might as well rip the names off the back of the jerseys like JoePa. It's a "collective". I said it in the game day thread. He really doesn't have a feel for the game. It's part of the reason you see what you see. It doesn't work at Miami.
