Quit living in the past. Miami fans tend to do this. You really think Butch can duplicate '95-'00? No, I doubt it. Look at the mess he made at UNC. I know we are all scared ****less after the Golden experience, take a deep breathe and relax. Someone will step up and make the right decision.

Who's your guy mr I know it all

Go **** yourself. Butch is the right choice. He doesn't need to replicate 95-00. If he does half as well assembling talent as he did originally, it will be a resounding success.

I don't have a guy as of right now. I just had to vent about Butch, and can he really do what he did 20 years ago? I don't want Mario, I don't want Strong. Big name? 4 Mill a year? Sure. New up and comer? Sure. Just someone who can coach. The Anti Golden is what I want...

What mess did Butch create at UNC? Enlighten us with your lack of facts.

No one is scared about anything. We are lucky to have any emotion left after the abortion of hires post-Butch.

You trust the same admin and BOT that hired Coker, Shannon and Golden to make a decision without our input?!?! Please the message to hire the right coach needs to resonate and it needs to be heard. I don't see anyone out there that has dealt with a mess on par with our current state of affairs or bigger. Only two coaches in fact. Kiffin and Butch Davis. Give me Butch Davis all day and night. He wants it. He has done better with worse and he gets what UM is all about.

Howard dumped us for the pros plus he had a real live ncaa scandal of his own making so stop tying, AL! You're fired. Go home to NJ.

This administration has a history of making awefull decisions.
So I'm not sure who this someone is that's going to step up and make the right decision.

**** canadian. got watch your dumbass hockey.

I really hate hockey. It's quite boring.Seriously though some of you guys are in love with Butch for what he did 15-20 years ago. It's like if I want the Edmonton Oilers hiring Glen Sather as coach and asking Gretzky to come help coach. Some want Ed Reed to coach. Has he coached at all? Dorsey is a scout with Carolina, not even a coach. Some are calling for him to come be the QB coach. ahahaha. It's a joke.
BTW I love the Canadian jokes, I wouldn't expect anything else.

Living in the past? You are talking about a guy who was responsible for putting together the best college football team in history.
You are talking about a guy who in 1996-1997 (when UM was on fire with sanctions) was only able to give out 27 scholarships in 2 years...and EIGHT of those 27 were first rounders. You are talking about a man who made UNC football relevant as soon as he stepped in campus with numerous first round picks and they competed in games.

Furthermore...not only is he a beast in discovering and developing talent, but he assembles great coaching staffs everywhere he goes. Bunch of coaches that worked under him turned out to be good head coaches today.

For those of you that do not know, in Cleveland he had:
Offensive Coordinator - Bruce Arians (Cardinals head coach)
Defensive Coordinator - Pagano (Colts head coach)
DB Coach - Todd Bowles (Jets head coach)
LB coach - Keith Butler (Steelers defensive coordinator)

There is NO better "Quick Fix" than Butch Davis. Give him a 3-4 year deal, get **** back in order and then he'll have a successor in his staff while he stays in Miami as "Director of Football Operations" to oversee the football program and make sure everything remains in order.

Guarantee you win go to the ACC championship in the first year Butch is head coach here.

Actually, he has been the QB coach since 2013.

COACHING
A former NFL quarterback and record-setting passer at the University of Miami (Fla.), Ken Dorsey is in his third season as the Panthers quarterbacks coach in 2015.

Working with two different starting quarterbacks in 2014, Dorsey helped Carolina's passing offense improve 10 spots from the previous year. Cam Newton battled through an assortment of injuries and became the first player in NFL history to pass for more 3,000 yards and rush for more than 500 yards in four consecutive seasons, passing for 3,127 and rushing for 539. When injuries caused Newton to miss two games at Tampa Bay (9/7/14) and versus Tampa Bay (12/14/14), Dorsey turned to backup Derek Anderson, his former teammate with the Cleveland Browns. Anderson won both starts, completing 66 percent of his passes for 507 yards and three touchdowns with no touchdowns to produce a 99.3 passer rating.

In 2013, Dorsey coached Newton to his second Pro Bowl selection and career highs in completion percentage (61.7), passing touchdowns (24) and passer rating (88.8). Under Dorsey's guidance, Newton led the Panthers to a 12-4 record, an NFC South title and the team's first playoff appearance since 2008. Newton was at his best down the stretch, directing Carolina to an 11-1 record in the final 12 regular season games while posting a 92.6 passer rating and orchestrating four game-winning drives during that time. Only two quarterbacks had more game-winning drives than Newton in the regular season.
Dorsey took over as quarterbacks coach in 2013 following two seasons as a pro scout for Carolina from 2011-12. In this role, Dorsey advanced the Panthers' upcoming opponents each week as well as evaluated free agents and prospects on other NFL rosters.

Oh and the comments about Canada are not jokes, they are genuine.

ok i stand corrected on Dorsey. He's doing a fine job at Carolina. But did I read that Mike Shula is the O coord? Lot of people hate him. Lets hire him.

ahahahaha. That genuine comment was even funnier then the original jokes.

Dorsey is a scout with Carolina, not even a coach. Some are calling for him to come be the QB coach. ahahaha. It's a joke.

Whats wrong with that? QB coach is the next step up from being a scout... its not like they are saying Dorsey should be OC or anything
