Are we not going to develop the QB's we recruited?

It's not like Beck is doing some other worldly elite **** that only a first round seasoned P4 vet can do. Luke Nickel can miss checkdowns and throw into double coverage too.

I hear you, but why is Nickel not QB2? Certainly something could be said about the politics of benching a 4 million dollar player. So that factors in. But what are the politics behind not moving Nickle to QB2 if he was ready?

Our rotations are always a bit head scratching but are you suggesting we should bench Beck and let Nickel play?

I’m not completely against it but Mario and co do not seem like the type to do that because he feels it hurts the image of the team. Paying stupid money for Beck and then bench him for a true freshman is probably the last thing he’ll do. We would see Emory out there before ever seeing Nickel.

It makes way more sense to pay a bunch of money to a known quantity from the portal than it does to pay a bunch of money to high ranked HS qb.

Highly ranked HS QBs are as likely to bust as they are to succeed.
