Why isn't Muschamp an option to replace Dorito? Who's gonna hire him to be a HC? Nobody. What an opportunity for him here to coach our D. Between him and Coley, there should be no reason why we don't lock up Dade/Broward/Palm Beach again. He can develop talent and has shown it. Al needs to realize this is a business and make the best decision for his employer. In the end, it's his *** who is responsible for the end product. I just don't understand why our admin doesn't see what we see. Yeah we have played "well" the last 3 games. But what about GT, Louisville and Nebraska? Any DC who can't stop the option/wing T/ triple option ain't good enough to run our D. Period. That's high school ****. No wonder why big time D recruits want nothing to do with us. It ain't the ranking, wins/losses. It's having to play for that sorry excuse for a coordinator. Until he goes (or Alfred) we can't expect anything to change. Our D showed their true colors in the 4th quarter. The scheme sucked but **** we have zero playmakers on the D-Line, especially with Chickilo hurt. He is our second best player on D and it hurt us not having him in there on the last few drives. His impact is more important than Dukes on our Offense.

Dont know how much negative recruiting Coley had to do before he came aboard

But im pretty sure Golden was talking about Muschamp when he spoke on teams trying to negative recruit against us

Dont think he'll fire his BFF for that guy..just let go of your pipe dream buddy

Because Miami could end up with a top 20 defense and they'd have a helluva time hiring any coach after that.
Throw in the negative recruiting and the fact that Musch probably has a clause in his severance package about local schools/SEC schools...he's walking with 6.4 from what I've read, he's in no hurry.

Because he's not going to walk away from a 6.3 million dollar buyout to make $500k/yr coaching the defense at Miami.

That, and Al Golden hates the man.

I could honestly see the whole staff coming back just because the improvement we made from the first game to this last. Yeah it sucks but there really is nothing we can do. Not going to games, former players speaking up, banners etc are not going to change the administrations mind. And next year, if the defense holds up we might win 9-10 games because of Brad Kaaya. So we could be stuck with golden for a while. The lone bright spot is that 2016 recruiting class is looking really good, we'll see how it holds up.

First, WM gets all his money, even if he takes another job. Second, Folden would demand that WM run the same soft defensive schemes as soon as the game got too big for Folden. Third, Kansas could be a real option for WM because Kansas needs a defensive minded coach, if WM wants a Head Coaching job.

THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES......unless Michigan is dumb enough to hire Folden.

LULZ at Folden firing D'Ominant after he fields a top 20 defense when he didn't fire him after fielding the two worst defenses in the history of the program in consecutive seasons.

Would you mind posting WM severance agreement in it's entirety, since you've obviously seen it based on your post. Thanks.

This has to be a joke. Gulden is going to fire his best friend after the defense made a marked improvement? And he is going to replace him with a chemically imbalanced dude who negatively recruited against UM enough to evoke the ire of Gluten. Hahahahahahahaha

Link? That sounds highly unlikely. Go coach for a rival & receive double pay ?? It just doesn't happen that way. Ever.

Here you go:

"Foley said that Muschamp's contract will be honored. A source with knowledge of the contract confirmed to ESPN.com's Darren Rovell that Muschamp's buyout will work out to about $6.3 million.

Foley said that the assistant coaches' contracts will also be honored, but if they get jobs elsewhere, Florida would be released from the burden of paying out their contracts."

Butch as DC is a true dream. We instantly become greatest recruiting school and he knows Cane defense. If he is not HC then maybe the ncaa crap from NCU will not play so much--he did get clearance letter. Plus, taking lower level job might be punishment enough for leaving before. We would then have TWO coaches we have flown banners to get fired at the same time -- try and top that! If will not happen, but Butch as DC with Al more CEO is perfect. School keeps it choir boy and we have defense to go with Kaaya. Imagine Butch walking into high school handing out pictures of the 1st round picks and All Pros he recruited. Hiring Butch would get Al a NFL HC job within three years.

Because Al Golden is committed to friendships and Jimbo and other coaches are committed to winning.

If that's one of your criteria...sorry to break it to you, but...

Sonny, they talk in depth about the assistant coaches but not Muschamp. I can see where you'd think that. Still seems like it would have clauses that weren't mentioned.

He gets the 6.3 Mil, even if he takes another job. It would have been more. Remember, WM is not being fired. The 6.3 Mil is in exchange for him to step down......a severance package almost. Therefore, he is free to take any job and still keep his 6.3 mil.
