Why no discussion on defense,?

The QB threw the ball 44 times. SMU can score points. To hold them to 20 should be an auto win for us. Not to say the defense played great, but they weren't the problem for sure.

Defense isn’t perfect but they were once again good enough to earn the win. I do think our secondary was somewhat overhyped, though.

SMU averaged 388 yards per game. They gained 363 yards (in regulation).

The defense was not the problem.
