Why is Williams Not #1 Safety in ACC?

On3 named James Williams #2 safety in ACC behind R.J. Mickens of Clemson. Why, when last year’s stats show otherwise. James: 31 tackles, 0.5 TFLs, 2 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions. Mickens: 29 tackles, 0.5 TFLs, 2 interceptions, and 0 pass breakups.

We have 3 safeties that are pushing to be the best on this one team lol. Love all three but I don’t think either is head and shoulders above another

James is a special player. He's a big time playmaker. He will make his mark. He just needs to cut down the number of errors and avoid unnecessary penalties and he will be a big time player for us. We have 3-4 very talented safeties. Let's hope they all max out their potential and wreak havoc on opposing offenses.

I was about to give props to Kam as well. Talk about range and sure tackler.

James Williams was the 15th highest vote getter at safety last year in All-ACC voting. RJ Mickens was not listed as an honorable mention.

Both very talented and both may very well be the Top 2 by the end of the 2022 season...but we should relax a bit.

Because he is the third best safety on are team, Avante and Kam are far better true safety's.

We finally got good problems to have. haha I'll take this argument over "do we have a good safety?".

I keep forgetting we got JHH because all the influx of talent on the D Line. Antonio Moultrie was brought in to help on the D line and this man is now an afterthought. First time in my adult life we have depth and can argue who should be starting on Defense amongst actual solid players.

Clemsux is the Bama of the acc always getting blowed under the table bc of the good ole boy coach. I understand they earned credibility but tearing down their kingdom will be fun only to show everyone it was built out of cardboard with pretty paint
