Why is a Coastal Division title the goal of UM football?

That's what I read so often on here- the "goal" of winning the Coastal. Why not at least have a goal of winning the ACC? So exciting- the idea of winning a crappy 7 team division.

If you really believe Richt is a great coach, it's worth mentioning that he only won the SEC East one time in his last 10 seasons at UGA. That division has been every bit as bad if not worse than the ACC Coastal recently.

It's not at all the ultimate goal of the program. Winning it all is. I'm sure every player, every coach, and **** near every fan have that as their goal. But it's just like that old mantra, "You have to take it one game at a time." You can't win it all without first winning your conference and to do that you have to win your division. So you prepare to beat the teams in your division.

I see so many fans assume that the reason we aren't more successful is because fan expectations are so low. In reality, unrealistically high expectations lead to low fan turnout. Does anyone else remember when the Dolphins got their playoff game blacked out due to low attendance? It's because fans didn't care enough to attend because they knew the team wasn't going to win a Super Bowl that year. Meanwhile, look at other school attendance. Entitlement is the culture of S. Fl.

richt is best coach since butch. its not close. no one would say bobby Bowden is a horrible coach but it took him over 20 yrs to win a nc, u can be a great coach and not win a nc, until the recent playoff the bcs was a crapshoot. there was a year people thought Georgia and usc were top 2 teams in college football and neither made bcs title game,

the reason we want a coastal title first off is u need to win it to win acc, 2 never won it and 3 acc coastal would be a step in right direction , the right direction is a national title. I have been lucky to be alive for all the Miami championships, can't wait for another but it takes time. especially when u see what has become of this proud program since 2004.
