They've only had 3 good seasons. 2000, 2007, and 2008.
2000 - State champs with Sean Taylor carrying them.
2007 - this is their most talented team, ever. They lost to AHP in the playoffs. They got in a fight in their regular season game against ABC, and bunch of their players were suspended. I forgot if they were able to play against AHP.
2008 - they reached the state title game and got blown out by Bolles.
They've had PLENTY of BCS prospects, but the only ones that ever did anything in college were: Sean Taylor, Patrick Robinson, Conner Vernon, and Donavon Varner (all had impressive careers).
Sam Smith and Anthony Leon did alright in college.
Their kids always show up in 7v7s. In 2007, they went to the addidas 7v7 national championship and lost in the final to Pahokee. This team had a lot of talent on every position except for the line. Their best lineman was a DE that went D1AA, and the rest were trash. This same team went 8-3.
I don't think that Baez ever coached on any of their good teams. I know he was at Gulliver in the spring of 2007, but I'm not sure if he went to Ole Miss before the start of the season or after. More than likely it was before.
Their coaching isn't very good, but those coaches can definitely bring in kids. I'd say avg.-below avg. coaching and horrible talent on the line is why they usually stink. If they could bring in better lineman, it would cover up for their coaching. Champagnat had a TERRIBLE coaching staff and they won a state title. Playoffs in 2A and 4A are a joke.
