Why Does Enos

I’ve never met him tbh but I do wish Roman would explain the reasoning schematically speaking. No doubt that ZN has hit that freshman wall
Your asking why we run PA to take deep shots

- enerally PA is used to move a defender out of a passing window and towards a run fit ( RPOS ), or too take a down field shot it’s used as a timing mechanism to slow down a pass rush in order to take the downfield shot while also freezing the safety or making the LB cheat towards the LOS. Depends on what part of the field your tryna attack.

- Everyone uses it. The fake generally works best from under center or pistol. But if the D doesn’t buy it or your Tackle gets beat on engagement ( Zion ) then ppl who don’t understand football will ask “why do we have to fake the ball? it takes too long”..not realizing that even without the fake the timing would be the same BUT the FS in the middle of the field will be able to cheat and get over the top of the deep ball. Therefore making it a useless play.
now you idiotically referenced 2 plays that were well executed upfront that our QB just missed that would’ve gone for TUBs🤷🏾‍♂️

Supposedly we are like at 12% completion on this play so why keep using it with slow personnel?

What do u mean “slow personnel”
kJ, Pope, Harley, Thomas, Wiggins are not slow..and most shot plays down the field aren’t high percentage plays. That’s why you don’t see them a lot. Depends on situation, field and previous play setup

You do realize both guys were open right?
We’ve had guys open all season. People hyping up mullet cause his qb can hit an open guy in 2.5 seconds. A qb that btw he found by accident cause his starter got hurt. If we had a guy that can do that we would all be shaving enos’s Nuts right now for comfort and smoothness. Not saying enos is the savior but talent and /or athleticism erases all kind of coaching deficiencies. Look how long Kirby has been surviving on the speed and talent of his stacked 5 star Pringles stack.

To actually answer your question OP.

It is simply his offensive philosophy. He likes using play action.

I think the question you are really asking is why we keep running them when it has mostly been with very limited success.

There is certainly some questions to be asked as to whether he should using that play or not. As much as receivers have been open on those plays every game we do tend to take a lot of sacks or heavy pressure when we run them. With this OL it is high risk vs high reward only the outcomes tend to be negative for us. sacks, pressure, QBs not throwing or missing the WR.

Most defenses so far, have been bringing a lot of safeties closer to the line and they are just begging for a PA play to expose them. They just have not been able to capitalize on it yet. Considering Enos has a hard on for play action he can't help himself. Considering the risk with the OL another OC probably would not run it as much.
