Why Do People Think We're Running the Table After Last Night's Embarrassment?

I feel the team didn't go into a shell last night like before but there are some eye raising concerns that have to be dealt with or it will go bad.

Remember when Golden was unbeaten and then we got destroyed by the future NC winning Noles and we said well we lost to a great team we can win the Coastal still? Then we got blown out 3 of the next 5 games that year lol OP is correct, we shouldn't believe we are going to run the table until we actually run the table. This program has a history of collapse after playing FSU for one thing and we have a history of falling into a midseason rut.

Please help me understand. I'm usually pretty positive,
but I just don't see us running the table or even losing just 1 or 2 more games. I see us as a 3 or 4 loss team, especially if we mentally and emotionally implode like we've done in past years, and I honestly believe Manolo's personality and coaching style feeds into this problem. The guy doesn't have a stoic cell in his body and the team follows his erratic and overly emotional, participation-trophy loving lead.
Some of the same experts who predicted we'd lose to CU by 15+ points are saying we will likely run the table. Just saying!

Thanks for all the great responses. I'm sure I'll be pumped by Saturday, but yesterday's loss knocked the wind out of me and I've been depressed all day about it. There was a while there last year where I had become a little numb to losing, but I guess I drank the koolaid again lol! In true Cane fashion! I really believed we would at least hang in there with Clemson, and I did not see us having that many penalties or mental mistakes. Let's see how the team responds to PITT! We need to shut Pat Narduzzi the f up! Can't stand that guy! GO CANES!!!💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

No reason we can't beat UNC. They have a bunch of athletes on the offensive side of the ball but their D is suspect. If we play TO free ball and get after their QB from the very beginning, we can win. Their running game seems to be decent but if we attack on D instead of the read and react we tried in the first half against Clemson, we can win.
