Why do Mario-led teams have trouble being motivated against inferior teams with coaching upgrades?

Come on man. You think people should consider Miami back? We have played for the ACC CG 1 time in 21 years. Let me repeat that. We have played for the ACC CG 1 time in 21 years, much less win it. And you expect people to fairly say we are back when we just dropped another ACC game as a double-digit favorite?

Our standard, by Mario's own admission, is much higher than that. The standard to being back isn't 5-1, even if it's still a solid start to the season.
If memory serves correctly, our Canes singular ACCCG appearance was only due to others ****ting the bed.

Our Canes have yet to appear in said ACCCG by controlling their own destiny.

And here they are, again.

I want to see the next few games to know what we’re. Was that a learning experience or are we overrated beating up bad teams that was supposed to be good and catching a young qb in his first start. I want to see an angry team going forward and some adjustments. Six games in I still don’t know what we are

this is exactly my concern as well as the 4-10 in November and December under Mario. who did we truly beat last year as well? We all thought Florida would be decent when we beat them and played no one until ACC play when we got into a dog fight with VT.

I'm still wondering if we fired the timeout specialist after last weekend.
