Saban OTOH, hates losing. So burning shirts is no big deal, starting totally unprepared freshman QB no big deal. Just winning is all that matters to his ilk. Not incessant crying and excuses.
So, you think just because Alabama's true freshman was ready to play on the big stage that EVERY true freshman QB is ready? ****, didn't you read Perry's interview? Not only has he had to put on weight, but he's had to learn everything there is to learn about actually playing the position at this level. There's a darn good chance that we lose that game at Pitt even worse had Perry played. Had he played against Clemson he could have had his growth stunted, literally. Richt did the right thing in redshirting him. He did it for the betterment of Perry, and for the team, not so some loser like you can beat your chest about Miami beating Pitt.
