Why couldn’t we get Briles?

Briles might be good but if you go soft on offense your defense gets soft. Now I don’t know what our issue is but I’m just talking about the noles

Bedenbaugh all day.
Best OL coach and comes from the most explosive system. Definition of killing two birds with one stone.
 
We could have but Manny -- inexplicably for someone with his level of cultural and trend awareness -- wants to run a pro style system (which itself is becoming an antiquated term).

It's almost like he said "I like Richts playbook and scheme, but I dont like the way he calls the plays."

Biggest miss was Manny not embracing an offense that fits the kind if players we recruit. I'm not sure why Miami coaches who view more South Florida football than anyone else have been so determined to run a power Big 10/SEC offense.
