I know that neither is at the top of anyone's list, including mine, but it seems that there is much more support around here for Chud than Schiano and I'm curious as to why that is. It seems that to me that Schiano has the better resume and more experience recruiting south FL than Chud. He also has earned the respect of guys like Belichick.

If you would pick Chud over Schiano, what's your reasoning? Is it that he's an offensive guy? Is it that you just don't like Schiano? I'm just curious...

Go Canes!

Schiano is an arrogant stubborn douchebag like Golden.

He wouldn't even give us the time of day when we fired Coker.

He used to neg recruit us hard.

Dude was only at Miami for 18 months.

Never been a part of a national title team.

He does not want to be the coach of The Miami Hurricanes but he would love the paycheck.

Chud on the other hand, played here for 4 years and coached here for 9.

Was part of 3 national title teams.

The guy cut his teeth in the NFL for 12 years and if he wants to come back, he is doing it for the right reasons.

Schiano is an ego maniac so that's probably why people here like chud more

I'll bite.

Cause Chud has never been a CFB HC, but has decent experience in the NFL at OC level (one as HC), as well as three good years as UM OC. So he has a pretty good resume and UM ties.

Schiano has had the CFB HC oppty with 11 years at Rutgers, and had mediocre results at best, imo.

I'd rather have the potential of Chud, vs the known of Schiano.

But BBB.

Want Butch, but Chud seems like a decent prospect. My problem with him is that he is an NFL guy who will bolt at the first opporunity for an NFL position. We need someone who will stay at least 4 to 5 years.

He saw what happened to Butch in the NFL..............its a nasty business........maybe he decides to stay for a while if he does well. Who knows.

Do you want someone who can match coaching wits with guys like Jimbo and Petrino or anther blowhard like Golden?

Richt? Seriously?

Dude is totally washed up. You are worried about Chud not recruiting? You think Richt would?

Pete Carrol's record in his first head coaching job with Jets...6-10 (he was fired after one year)

Bill Belichick's record during his first head coaching stint with the Brown.....36-44.

Sometimes the first gig doesn't go so well.

Chud has the best shot of being successful of the attainable candidates. His one year in Cleveland is a total outlier. Dude has been ultra successful as a playcaller everywhere!

The best way I can describe Schiano is Al Golden, but a worse recruiter, less of a players coach, and an overall worse personality completely.

He would have a more competent dc than dorito. It will be pretty hard to make a worse hire than golden but with idiots wanting mario or strong it could happen. I don't think Schiano has a shot if chud wants it

Chud is 4-12.

How many years has it been since he's coached in college?

Why isn't he even being mentioned at the other openings at USCw, USCe, VaTech, etc.?
