because offense looks like a shiny new car while defense is dat motor dat dominates, a physical team will wipe them. they dont have the horses but we shall see i mean one day an offensive juggernauts gonnna win right?
 
Baylor pretty much has double figure win seasons now, and I doubt they're going anywhere . Then mix in 45-50 points ppg, I'm down

Oregon and Ohio state are two spread juggernauts. They did ok last year , and that was against Fsu and Bama

As were Auburn (who faced Oregon for the title) and UF.

The fact that some people still parrot this nonsense boggles my mind, for realz.
 
When your recruiting base is the most fertile ground for skill talent in the entire country, you're f***ing your own face by wanting your base offense to have a FB and/or 2 in-line TEs. That's what certain coaches some are vouching for would likely bring here. Oregon annihilated FSU, and Ohio State's spread put up 42 with their third-string QB against Alabama in the semis just nine months ago.

People who are opposed to Miami unleashing a no huddle, no mercy spread are flat-earthers at this point.
 
And be in a shootout with any good team, I'll pass. Very very good offense but Briles can't hire the right person to construct a decent defense.

More to the point, Baylor is showing no mercy after KU snitched on them last year. Need that kind of attitude around here. Al would have got to 21-0 and started running the ball.

There are 2 good teams on our schedule in any given year. I'd trade guaranteed 10 wins seasons and a billion points for having to win 2 shootouts per year.
 
Pro style bro...

We care more about some type of NFL image while NFL talent is leaving to play for other teams than actually winning games in college. Baylor is BALLING while our pro style is puttering along... but you got to pro style bro...
 
Very good points but in the end I for see changes coming we need a Baylor type mentality. I don't care what anyone says that draws a fan base back in these days .....

They are aggressive as **** on defense, they dont have a ton of studs, plus they take a ton of chances, its not like we dont have good DBs and DEs down here smh

Because our old decrepit president we had took away our advantage and kept as many inner city kids out of the University as possible. Now we play nice and let other teams have a chance to win
 
Because we are stuck in the Past, no one wants to hire a coach that use these types of offense, we like Robatic Quaterbacs.
