Why are so many assuming VT is a walkover?

They are 2-2 like us, they lost to two ACC teams like us at NC. They got outscored by a very good Duke team (I think Duke will be our most difficult game this year) and lost by 7 to BC They have a young QB starting that we know nothing about and we have a redshirt freshman QB. Our placekicker is a basket case, theirs is 12 of 12 XP and 3-5 FG. They have DL problems where we have OL problems, weakness against weakness. I'll like to see a blowout but will be pleased with a one point win. As always, I expect a victory, especially if our fans show up for this home game, but a lopsided win...goodness, I hope so!

As the now age old UM adage goes, nobody beats Miami like Miami.

Loads of potential, look great on paper. I just hope to see one game this year where we see 75% of our capability.

We stay out of our own way, we should coast. I just haven't seen it yet.

They got embarrassed by Duke.

They trailed for the majority of the game against their FCS opponent Furman.

They were in a dog fight with an ODU squad that embarrassed their program last year. They should have routed them in a revenge game.

BC is bad this year. Did you watch them play Kansas?

VT is the worst team in the ACC aside from GT

I'm just hoping against the odds that Manny DOES know what he's doing and the defense comes out and holds them to 16, and that the O comes out to score 24... a defensive TD makes it 31-16. Nothing is a cupcake for Miami anymore. We are losing steam fast and we need a win bad.
 
Because I still like to have that feeling of invincibility. It just takes a lot more alcohol these days.

Very few are likely truly expecting a walkover...but if you post reality in here, the theme is to get railed for it.
