Why are our offensive line coaches always do bad?

Hey, Candycane, look at the age of our O-Line. You have no clue. Give Coach Barry some time. GTFOH. See you in 2-3 years and you will be eating your post like its a good Cuban sandwich.

lol. The running joke was did Ken Dorsey even know what a sack was! lol. Yet the OL was bad. lol. Hilarious.
Frank Beamer said of Ken Dorsey something to the extent of: "He's a tough kid, at least we think he's tough, no one ever sacks him."

Lol; exactly,
The '01 line was pretty good, especially McKinnie & Romberg, I cant remember if Carey & Joseph were major factors that year, I think they were in '02 & '03. Kehoe had a dominant stretch, followed by solid to mediocre stretches, not surprisingly heavily tied to how good the OCs & HCs were at the time. The QB in '01 helped them out a bit though, Dorsey's clock was outstanding at Miami, and the RBs only needed decent blocking to bust lose big gains. Lingard has that kind of ability, hopefully the next 8 games he breaks out and changes the entire dynamic of the Enos O.

While our offensive lines have not been good recently our offensive philosophy has done them no favors.

We should run an offense that does not rely on elite offensive linemen

The best example is dno, under him many posters were saying we had no talent on the dline and they couldn’t recruit

A change in defensive philosophy and immediately those same players become a strength of the defense

Just curious: Does your confidence in the OL 2-3 years from now come from faith in Coach Barry, or is it because by then the pieces will be more experienced and (hopefully) more talented.
