Agreed, but I still think they went for Taggert because they were concerned about recruiting and wanted a guy with some connection to Florida.

Dan Brown, i wanted that hire bad, love his style of defense with the speed we have. With that said they will recruit well with Willie until he starts losing

Seems like the FSU program (players, staff, boosters, AD, fans, et al) is a powder keg.

Kick down the door and the whole rotting structure will come down.
 
FSU fans have ALWAYS been obssessed with recruiting to a weird degree. You guys should have seen the halcyon days of Warchant. They would write novels about Callahan Bright and Xavier Lee.
 
He will recruit great and he’s no stranger to recruiting shenanigans so his bag game at FSU will be strong, no doubt. He will be fielding top 5 classes in no time and as we know, you field top 5 classes and have a competent qb, that’s guaranteed top 10 every year, pretty much.
 
Bc he can recruit Tampa area and the scraps after we are done...Lmao...mediocre hire and quite a risky move

He's not a great coach so he won't be winning 10 games a year.

Taggart has done nothing to show that he can sustain that kind of success
One solid class at Oregon that hadn't even signed yet does not mean that they'll be better


I think taggart is a significant downgrade, leavitt on the other hand...
