Who do you think will be the next Braxton this year when it comes to playing with a chip and attitude and not afraid to display it after a big play.

Love berrios but it’s crazy the limited amount of options we had for a number 1 receiver with Ahmmon injuries throughout last year. With that being said I’m not sure who will take over his role but we have PLENTY of options. This is partly why I think Rosier can improve but he’s definitely going to have to find someone who can make the plays berrios did last year

Can't get the gif to work of Berrios scoring the TD and having his hands behind his back like handcuffed. Not talking play maker we have tons of talent. Tallking about the trash talking through actions. Like the handcuff, to flashing the U at Unc etc.

I was just asking myself while watching last year’s games (specifically, FSU). I’m convinced it’s DJ Dallas.

Need a clutch WR behind Richards. Thankfully last year we had Berrios and Langham come up yuuuge. Who's going to be that person this year? Thomas? Harley? Cager?

My money is on Thomas b/c if he indeed is that clutch guy, woooo eee, our offense is going to be dynamic.

Berrios had as clutch a season here as I can remember anyone having. I don't remember a single dropped pass, and I know he didn't muff a single punt. He just made every single play he was asked to make. I'm not sure it's realistic to ask anyone to replace him, but hopefully as a collective unit, the offense has improved to where a kid like that won't be needed. It'll be a group effort.

Berrios should go down in Miami lore for what he did last year. 10 years from now we should all be looking back and marveling at how big he was in the biggest moments.

Absolutely agree. If he doesn’t break that tackle against FSU, Miami is facing a 4th down and who knows what would have happened. He also made Rosier look good on some tough catches on third down later in the year.

I’d say Thomas. He’s gonna have a great year if Rosier could hit him on deep balls. No chance any db could stick with him.

I'm really hoping Harley improves this year.

That kid has the speed to be a real thorn in the side to any defense.

I agree. Braxton came up for us last year in big moments. He made some outstanding catches where he stretched his body out and dove for it. One thing that's important to note is that he was basically our de facto #1 with Richards hobbled and no one else seemingly up to the task. Those same balls will be going to Richards this year and not only will he likely have more separation, but he won't have to be diving to the same extent the smaller Berrios had to.

All reports indicate Thomas is ready to step up in a big way. We have to hope Cager is taking that next step, as well.

We have some great options at WR.

I wouldn't be surprised if Brevin Jordan emerges as a guy who shows up in crucial moments from early on. He has all the talent and he did exactly that over the course of his career at Bishop Gorman while playing a national schedule.

I was thinking this too.
It wasn't just the plays Berrios made; it was HOW and WHEN he made them. The punt return and 3rd down conversion vs FSU were insane. The guy is just a winner. I think Dallas has that too.

It also got me thinking about how Berrios is another of those guys that was basically written off. I think he had 13 receptions his junior year. Now, I am here wondering how we are going to replace him. It's gonna be fun to watch some of these guys take the next step this year.
