Would be the first openly *** active player in NFL history -- came out to his teammates in August, then announced his sexuality publicly prior to the NFL Scouting Combine.

Did I miss something about Jackson Jeffcoat? Off the field problems maybe? Because I'm missing something. I'm refusing to believe they only drafted Sam because of actual on field performance. I keep hearing SEC Co-Def. Player of the year, but Jackson even seems to one up that too.

Jeffcoat ran a 4.63 at the combine also. I'm surprised no one took a run at him in the 6th or 7th rounds.

Dude was apparently a good player, but didn't get drafted. Seems like he was a better player than Sam. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me.
