Who Would Be A Lashlee-type Candidate For DC?

Lashlee ain't all that. 6.02ypp (41st in the nation), 8.2yppass (35th in the nation), 4.3ypc (72nd in the nation), 35ppg (25th in the nation).

Consider all of those numbers are in a pandemic year where not everyone is really playing.

In summary...idk, there are lots of guys that can provide that kind of output on defensive.
I agree on the results, but i'd like to see Lashlee operate with an average O-line.

Strong brings big impact in recruiting in SF.

I don’t like Steele. He’s an LB coach by trade though which we need. Supposedly he’s a pretty good recruiter too

I will start off by saying if baker was gonna be fired it would have happened already.

Now to answer your original question:
Marcus freeman
Charlie strong
Muschump
Kevin Steele(if auburn fires Gus)

Georgia’s linebacker coach(Schumann)-look him up. Great recruiter and linebacker coach and kids love him.
Strong and Muschamp 🤦‍♂️

Steele, unlike Strong and Muschamp have fielded a solid defense this side of 2010

Lashlee is the most basic version of a spread that would have success here no matter what while struggling for large chunks of games. Sadly, that version of DC might just be Mandy and co. We need top tier guys on both sides

Steele is an upgrade, but I remember seeing him on the receiving end of the worst beat down in Orange Bowl history when Clemson lost 70-33. Geno had 6 TDs. Dabo fired him right after.

anything would have been better than Dan Enos. He was horrendous.

I'm not saying Lashlee is a bum. He's aight. Just nothing special. What you see is what you get.
Bro we got shutout by la tech last year and couldnt run the ball against fiu. What were you expecting?

No it wouldn't. Diaz has said it countless times that he waits until the end of the season to evaluate and make changes. Enos was told he won't be retained a bit ahead of time, but even he was asked to finish the season.
Thank you. ESD is Wednesday, nobody was going to be fired today. Can't risk recruiting. Dudes just be posting BS on the board. 🤦🏾‍♂️

If you look at Lashlee's career playcalling numbers...the numbers Miami put up this year are basically in line with Lashlee's career averages.

So, this is what I was expecting. I don't expect it to get much better...maybe a little, but not much more, unfortunately.

With one of the worst offenseive lines in the country for years. What do you expect when a team is a joke when it comes to recruiting O lineman year after year.

Its pretty terrible.

UNC's offensive line is just as bad as Miami's and they put 62 on the board and ran for a few miles.

At some point, y'all gotta stop making excuses. The OL is not great, but its not so bad where its the end result of every excuse you've got.

And he has one reliable receiver (at least for the last 5 games) and an interior OL that sucks.

It doesn't matter who we get at DC or OC. We don't have the right leader to lead this team. There is a reason why head coaches get paid the big money and assistant coaches way less. The argument that if Al Golden replaced his friend with a better DC we would have won championships is naive to put it politely.

So he loaded up on the under in the bowl game.

Steele?

We're posting how Manny should fire Baker after the worst defensive performance in team history, like Dabo did after a 70-33 bowl game loss.

Steele was the DC Dabo fired.

SMH

It's certainly ironic. Pulling a Dabo is Diaz's only hope, but people want the guy he fired. I want a Venables or Aranda-type hire, not a Lashlee type. Don Brown and Phil Parker are my top 2. Not sure about Muschamp or Skrong. Im real skittish about another G5 like the Cincy DC when they haven't played a single P5 this year.
