Who to root against more -- ND or Georgia?

I mean fūck both of them, and whoever I cheer for or root against is not going to make a difference in the outcome of the game, but if we’re talking strictly what will benefit us the most, then Georgia losing benefits us if anything is going to benefit us from this game.

Georgia is much more in direct competition with us for the top athletes in South Florida. There’s no question about that.

So anything that diminishes Georgia may have a positive incremental impact, or at least it won’t hurt.

Anything that elevates Georgia, thereby increasing their optics or their standing with recruits, is by definition not as good for us.

This is just common sense.

I hate Notre Dame, but that SEC crap is killing college football. I feel like I am watching wrestling again on Saturdays, like I did when I was 10. You know, when you know the bad guy will win, and the clueless ref conveniently looks the other way as 5 other bad guys jump in the ring to beat the good guy senseless.

You guys are effing insane. If ND beats Georgia, they’ll march to back to back playoffs and CFB fans will hear about ND waaaaay more than the SEC this year. ND would dominate the airwaves

And if ND wins a title it’s going to be your worst nightmare. It will catapult that program, and they could go on a real run. And they’ll march right into Florida to pull recruits just like SEC teams do, but the difference is, they’ll also be able to go into Texas and California to do the same. Their net will be wide, deep and **** near unmatched

I’m looking at the entire chess board. If ND gets rolling that train could be hard to derail.

My chess board is very different than yours. As much as I hate ND, it benefits us much more if they win. Its not even a close decision.

Root against Georgia. Notre Dame will lose eventually. Georgia doesn't have much competition until the SECCG. Assuming a 10-2 season where we beat Clemson in the ACCCG, It's much easier to justify a 11-2 Miami team that lost two close games to P5 opponents at the beginning of the year then a UGA team that lost a game at home against a 1+ loss Notre Dame team.

You are rooting against Georgia.

Cane fans prior to 2001...no question want ND to lose. It's **** near genetic level hatred.

Side note - UGA is a clown show, I don't care if they spend 300 million...once a clown show, always a clown show.

Same. I get some consolation if they win and I have a reason to hate them even more if they lose.
 
Notre Dame — not even close.
That hatred has been brewing for many years.
I’m sure there are many who are not even Canes fans that hate the Irish.

The anti-Georgia sentiment is relatively recent; in line with their hiring of Kirby Smart and Georgia playing well and recruiting well the last few years.
 
The only team I hate nearly as much as ND is UiF. If those two played, it might be tough. If you were around to watch UM vs ND in 1988, this is an easy choice. ND can go to ****.
