I pretty much agree with that. Also, there has been mention of Garcia being more prone to throwing interceptions. If it turns out that TVD is a good game manager and releases the ball before taking unnecessary sacks, then I am all TVD.

Like them both. Both had good days. Didn’t know Garcia can really run though so that was good to see. They both had impressive td throws.

The general rule of thumb is if it’s close, go with the younger guy since they have more upside. But I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing both next game

The stats mean absolutely nothing in a game like this against a glorified high school opponent. I think every single one of TVD's completions were within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. I like Garcia a lot more.

Absolutely. You're talking about screen passes against a glorified high school team. Give me the guy that actually pushes the ball vertically and can make off schedule throws.

TVD threw the best ball of the day, it just won’t be remembered as that because 8 dropped it.

And if Garcia had TVD’s stats, accumulated the same exact way, the poll in this thread would be 80/20 toward Garcia.

I personally don’t know who I’d pick. Garcia could be more mobile, but most people are basing that on his read option pull with nothing but grass ahead.

I like them both. They play a bit different. But there’s a Garcia bias that’s pretty clear.

Dude made some big boy throws even though it was against a HS team. Including the drop by Wiggins. If the stats were on the other foot JG would be anointed god like from
spring game.

Ive been the guy saying let them play out , let the best man win then folks get mad at me. I had arguments this week with people crowning Garcia and saying he’d play better today, he’s the better option. But I’m the crazy one lol. But whatever.
