Who QB's us against UVA?

Is there an expectation of a TVD return or are we rolling with Emory? Almost feel like we should keep TVD out if he's borderline and preserve him for FSPew, and give the young fella needed snaps.

17 deserves to feel the way he feels today. He didn’t turn the ball over nor take a sack against Clemson as a true freshman in his first start.

But these threads and posts have got to stop. He threw for 4.6 yard a pass last night. There is no QB controversy here, you guys are literally insane. If TVD is healthy, he’s the quarterback. That was A+ experience for Emory last night and will help him immensely down the road. But he’s nowhere near ready to beat teams with legitimate offenses. Stop this nonsense right now. TVD gives this team by far it’s best chance to win and if somehow you don’t believe that you need to log off forever and go follow darts or cornhole or F1.

Mario said he (paraphrasing) expects or hopes TVD is back but he needed to get with the training staff and see how the week goes. So basically non-committal which is to be expected immediately after a game TVD just missed.

Pretty sure Williams RS is burned now right? Or was that his 4th? If it's burned and there's any question on TVD maybe dress Tyler but give Emory the start. IDGAF about UVA beating UNC last night, if we can beat ClemPson at home with Emory, we can beat UVA at home with Emory and the reps would be very valuable.

I'm a proponent of always putting your best foot forward but we're gonna need a healthy TVD down the stretch. I've been critical of him at times but he's still our best chance to win. Unless he's 110% I think you let him rest.

I’d be surprised if Tvd doesn’t play Saturday.

I don't think this was about starting Emory OVER a fully healthy TVD.

I think this thread was more about if TVD is questionable at all, is it worth resting him so he can fully heal and starting Emory?

If TVD is fully healthy, start him.

If not, start Emory but bring TVD dressed. Try to run the ball down UVA's throat and if the defense shows up like they did against Clemson, we can win with Emory and a very conservative game plan. If we're struggling to move the ball and the D is giving a bunch of plays up, then we can switch to TVD to spark the offense.

Maybe you were referencing other threads. I don't see anyone here thinking Emory should be the starter henceforth. My prompt was more about the health of TVD. To be clear, I think we can beat UVA and BC with Emory, but I don't want to face Louisville and most especially, FSU, without TVD.

If TVD plays last night, more than likely, we walk away with that game and at the very worst, he drives the ball down the field with a minute and a half and Borreales ends the game for us.

That was his 4th game.

If we're that set on preserving the red-shirt, we could pivot to using Jaccuri Brown as needed for the remainder of the season. He's got four free games that we can utilize him in.

Earlier in the year Dawson talked about not burning williams or browns redshirt. Emory now has 4 games. I don't see him playing anymore. They will want to save his shirt. Brown can play up to three games this year so if TVD is not ready this week we could see him playing.
 
What i do hope is that we can take something away from this last game in how the quarterback is managed. Clearly we don’t need to be anywhere as close to restrictive with TVD but………….

We may want to reign him in just a little bit. Play a little more safe. Maybe, just maybe this team is better off playing how Mario usually wants to play. Obviously the defense and offensive line have to continue at a high level.
