who punts

Feagles
15 punts net ave 33.8
Spicer
3 punts net ave 31.3

Just about a wash but Spicer has a much smaller sample size .

I go by net ave because that is what counts

My biggest concern on this team every game.
Shanks....Feagles 78 to Spicers none. I know he’s only had like 4 career punts.

Very deceptive data set. Feagles' best punts were shanks that got a good roll. Spicer's data set is insufficient to make any kind of comparison (as you noted).

That's why I want Spicer to start. I want to personally see more data from him. We already know what Feagles can do and it aint purdy.

I do not want either from what I have seen. Bring in someone from the ladies soccer team. She would probably be better.

We better tighten our protection the **** up and stop playing around and get something blocked. That's how a **** bird team like FSU hangs around; blocking kicks and starting at their 45
Exactly ... no one is talking about our protection on here it’s been **** poor ... if the snap is remotely off with our protection that thing is going the other way.

Great point. There should be an advanced metric for punts that takes into account favorable/unfavorable rolls. I'd give Spicer the starting punter job. If he shanks so much as one punt, he's yanked for Feagles.

Our special teams as a whole has been abysmal. Everything from blocking to coverage. Not sure what Hartley is teaching them boys. Feagles just has to get out of his own **** head

But Feagles shanks 1 in 3 punts. Kid gets nervous in live action, and bites it big time. Question: if the kid is getting nerves and shanking punts against Savannah State, what's he gonna do in front of a madhouse like at the UM/FSU game? Could get ugly.

They can’t return a shanked punt for a TD though

And their offense is horrible

It's a tough question, because if Spicer puts no hangtime in his punt and allows for an easy return like he did against UNC, with how bad our coverage is with everything in ST, it could be worse.

What good is 40 yards/punt if you allow over 15 yards/return and the possibility of a touchdown?
Good gosh, thank goodness it didn't cost us
