Who on this board wanted Mendoza to transfer to the U?

He seems like the perfect college QB. But I don’t see his personality commanding a NFL locker room. The Jets probably draft him and that’s a death sentence in itself. He will struggle. But hats off to him for winning the Heisman.

He's very likeable and a total team guy. He's won every QB award this year , including the Maxwell. Last year the media forced Hunter from day 1

Sayin isn't that good; Pavia isn't that likeable. It's tough for a RB to win these days even though Love seems like a good kid.

Ya likable doesn't matter to me lol…Pavia is standing on his head every week. But yeah does seem like a great team guy

He completed 78% of his passes, leads the nation in QB rating and finished 2nd in TD passes.

It's not just because of his WR either. Dude was consensus 5* and top 10 player. Everybody, including Mario, wanted him because they knew this is what he could turn into.

How exactly is he not that good?
 
I definitely wanted him when him and his Dad were on campus about a week before he committed to IU. I thought he was good enough from the get go, not one of my top choices, though. Things were looking bleak when they visited and I didn't know what was happening then. Hope to play him in the NC game.

I wanted mateer, beck, mendoza in that order.

Pretty sure I said I'd be okay with any of the three. It all worked out. All three teams in CFB lol.

For next year,

I want leavitt, sorsby, and Bailey in that order. It's early though, maybe someone better jumps in. I think the current tier of QB is lower than the prior 2 as it sits today.

I sure as heck didn't want him. Sure he played good against us but I figured it was just the typical "vs. hometown team boost" that players usually get.

and to be even more completely honest, I didn't even care much for Beck whe he first entered the portal. I called him overrated after that great season he had with uga. Also, I hate taking in players coming off of an major injury(recruiting and portal)
