It’s National Championship day as the rest of the nation is set to watch the Michigan Wolverines take on the UConn Huskies. This also means the transfer portal for the 2026–27 season officially opens tonight, where players have the chance to explore new schools.

Miami has reached out to the camp of former UT Rio Grande Valley guard Koree Cotton, CaneSport has learned. Other schools that have contacted Cotton, according to agent Larry Hall of HOF Sports Group, include Kansas, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, USC, Providence, Oklahoma State, DePaul and High Point.

Based on who we’re being linked to (kid from UVU and this kid now) I think we’re targeting a starting SG with some size and shooting ability in the portal and Dante is sliding into the Tru role.
