WHO IS THE FIRST CALL YOU MAKE IF YOU 'RE BLAKE?

Chip Kelly, even if it's a dream.

Gary Patterson, probably another pipedream and my guess is that small little Christian school of his could match just about any offer from anywhere in the land. I'd rather have Baylor's coach though.

Houston coach would be my next call.

Moving on, Rich Rod. I'll follow that up with Schiano and then Chud. There would maybe be a few more calls and then eventually I call Botch. If they're all gone, that just means we're not serious about football anymore. In that case, I go cheap, Stidt or raid the MAC, Toledo, and maybe Fuente.

Edit: I forgot Mario. He goes in there between Schiano and Chud. I figure he's had to learn something working under Saban. It might take a bit of time as he's still learning, but he could be an out of the park hire. He would kill it in the recruiting department, but could be full his staff with good coaches?

If Blake stays here, the first call he makes is to either Cristobal or Coley. He won't look any further and neither will the BOT, Sorry, but I just KNOW that's what will happen.

Yeah, it sucks, but that's UM and its merry board of numbskulls.

I would call Chip Kelly first and foremost just to see if there's any way to make it happen. If not I move on to Pagano. I'd call Pinkel to see if he's interested. Then I would call Dan Mullen. Then I would call Herman, Fuente, etc.

This x10000000.......minus Mullen

". I figure he's had to learn something working under Saban."

I disagree with that line of thinking.
To me that's the same as saying lets hire Shannon back because he worked under Gary Patterson for a year and he MIGHT have learned something.

Pinkel makes 3.7M a year and raked in the highest of all coaches last year in bonuses on top at 900k. HE is COMFY in Columbia, MO! He has no ties to the recruiting in the South either. He is a good coach but not what Miami needs right now.

Gary Patterson. Then Mark Dantonio. And I'd just keep working my way down the list.

I like your thinking. Start big. Gary Patterson, Dantonio, Butch Davis, Herman. Hopefully won't have to look to far down the line.

Let me spell it out for you morons. HE is a good coach for Mizzou. Hes 63 gets paid 3.7M and can bonus to 900k which he did last year. Why they **** would he even consider leaving?? We wouldnt match what he gets and he would have to start all over. HE doesnt have the ties in FL.

There is plenty of good coaches out there that wouldnt be a fit.

I see your point, but he's relatively new to the coaching game while Shannon has already been around forever.

I get that but if he learned something or not is an unknown and risk I don't think we are in a position to take.
I know he is not your first choice.

Tom herman then everyone else

I like what I have read about this Herman dude along with what he is already doing at Houston. Seems a little like Harbaugh but not a weirdo.

Comes from the urban coaching tree, has shown in the past that he makes his system to what he has, this guy will have us winning sooner than anyone of our other options

You had me until Dan Mullen.

Yea I agree. Mullen is nothing special. I'd rather have a wild card then a guy who will never win more than 9 games.
