who is our best matchup at CB for J.Smith?

How do we know who's the fastest DB in the room? I understand Lucas and Bryce have verified track times, but OJ and Ethan didn't run track, or Damari. I need someone that's inside the building or goes to practice to tell me who's got the fastest mile per hour during speed training or during practice.

Idk but knowing Day, he understands that J Smith will be extra juiced up for this game. They’ll be looking to feed him early and often. I’m thinking at least 3-4 predetermined deep shots in this game.

He’ll want his “Dalvin Cook” type game against us. And Ryan Day will want that too to use for recruiting future WRs

chris bell cooked oj. lost alot of confidence in him that day he looked slow and defeated. got ate up on crossing patterns so im willing to bet osu* will try the same **** come game day. sayin needs to end up in the hospital
Bingo!!!
This kid needs to be running for his life

That is unfortunate that we wont have Damari. I think he would have been highly motivated to reconvene their HS rivalry. Damari was plenty big, physical, and fast enough to lock horns with JJ. And they had run many reps against eachother between games and 7v7. Guessing after Damari, X.Lucas would be fast enough and big enough. OJ is not a good matchup for JJ.

O’Connor would do better against j smith or Tate than oj would and im not kidding. Both Covering and tackling,

Bracket or Lucas.
Don't think we have CBs follow all that much. But Both their WRs play outside the vast majority of the time regardless and they are almost exactly 50/50 between lining up on left and right. I think regardless we need to have Bryce Fitzgerald serving as the Centerfield ball hawk majority of the time keying on Tate running posts (and honestly just both of them outside numbers deep) and erring on middle+right side of field. Thomas/Poyser/Scott breaking on everything 0-20 yards from their side of mid field to the numbers. When Tate is lined up to the left the CB should be expecting much more Outside breaking routes. Whoever is lined up on Jeremiah Smith needs to expect the vast majority to break towards the middle of the field.

Sayin has 63 attempts 0-20 yards to the Left Numbers, with 8 attempts 20+... with only 49 attempts 0-20 yards to the right Numbers with 14 20+. decently even.... Meanwhile 125 attempts 0-20 yards between numbers and 21 20+ yards between the numbers...
[Compared to beck just so people get a feel of how often they throw deep relative to us, he has 28 'intermediate' left numbers with 15 deep left. 32 intermediate right with 14 deep. And beck has 153 intermediate between numbers with 20 attempts deep middle. And I wouldn't even say we take all that many deep shots with Beck, so doesn't seem like Sayin really pushes the ball deep downfield constantly to the point where we HAVE TO have 2 deep safeties all the time or anything like that, but if he does its Middle Field and to Right more often.]

Carnell Tate has 16 targets Left outside between 0-20 yards to only 4 targets Right Outside. (Jeremiah 17:13 in this range, so much more balanced). And Jeremiah Smith has 34 targets between the numbers 0-20 yards to Tates 17 - so double!. Tates main Targets in middle of field is 20+ yards where he has 8 targets to JJs 5.

Who's going to guard Tate because we know Smith will be doubled up. It's going to be a close game I hope or a boat race
