who is our best matchup at CB for J.Smith?

Don’t sleep on Tate. He will carve us up if we pay too much attention to JJ. Those two are easily top 3 tandem in the country
Yes they are , we have good dbs too however and just faced a top 3 receiver tandem with craver and Concepcion. After jj and Tate, Concepcion and craver probably the best tandem in the country .

I’d rank them
Jj
Concepcion
Tate
Craver

The wind aided us in our defense on the two A&M wideouts..also their slight so they may have been affected by our physicality more than you might expect Tate and Smith to be.

Again, I get what you're saying and agree to an extent but everything we've seen from Jeremiah says he has an alpha dog type of personality. That usually equates to having mental and intestinal fortitude.
I watch a lot of Buckeye games. He doesn't get hit that often. He doesn't seek contact and he shouldn't but we need to bring the contact to him. Being strong and physical at the high point is not the same as taking big hits when you have the ball in your hands. He's definitely like a boxer in the sense that he has the sheer talent to just avoid those collisions but we need to find a way to make him earn those touches

Eh, reed has a talented arm and enough arm strength to eat through that wind. It affected it some but not that much. That deep ball throw to craver was a seed

Concepcion is just fast he is not better than Tate as an overall WR. JJ and Tate is the best duo we’ll face

Didn’t say they were a better duo just that craver Concepcion is a top 3 duo in the country that’s a fact. In addition to that A&M 3rd option is much better than osu’s with bethel Roman too

OJ stats this year before A&M game: 21 targets, 10 completions, 48% completion rate allowed.

Leonard Moore, who is a PFF All-American, has a completion rate allowed of 54%, and

Tough comparison as wind impacted passing game & OSU QB is much more accurate.

Bro, I have to. I hate when I see people hating on the kid for no reason. It don't make sense. They did the same thing to Bain last year. I can't stand it .
They did to fletcher & Mesidor too all our best players were overrated at one point according to CIS lol smh

I believe bethel Roman was far from 100% Saturday
Are we gonna play devils advocate on everything? Keionte Scott wasn’t 100%, we were missing a
Starter in damari brown and 2 of our starting safeties went out the game vs Texas A&M too in Thomas and poysner

Im just not going to talk myself into expecting us to perform similarly against the Buckeye receiving corps. There will be no wind and their wideouts are a very different task compared to A&Ms group. I think we need to be even more disruptive rushing the passer and continue to be the most physical team on the field. Knock Sayin around and wear down Smith and Tate by constantly making them work for everything.

But Im not looking at our performance Saturday as a means for comparison at all its apples and oranges as far as coverage goes.

Look all I know is Concepcion and craver are 2 of the most explosive receivers in the country and our guys held up well even with our injuries in the secondary. Get after sayin this game and see what happens
