who is our best matchup at CB for J.Smith?

Which one? You been on a posting heater on this subject. I do agree with you that OJ is a good corner and I don't get why this board loves to nitpick him. I just think you may be overrating him a bit saying he is a top 3 corner in the entire country. Cheers
Bro, I have to. I hate when I see people hating on the kid for no reason. It don't make sense. They did the same thing to Bain last year. I can't stand it .

I agree but remember Jeremiah is physically (6'3, 220lb) built for that style of play. Concepcion and Cramer are miniature in size and stature.
Just cause you are built for it doesn't mean you like it. Smith is an elite player his only potential weakness is mental fortitude. We probably can't be better than him so we have to be tougher. That's our best shot at affecting his game.

Wasn’t tentative on what should’ve been a personal foul. He’s terrible for this game. He gets cooked by big physical receivers.

I think he’s a little overhyped on here and hasn’t been the same since he was torched by Syracuse.
I think he’s been just fine this szn tbh

He had 2 catches for 45 yards v Indiana. His season numbers are marginally better than Toney's in yards per catch and TDs. Toney has more catches. The key is to pressure the QB and have the FS around when they try to throw it to him. They also have other players too so cant be focusing on just him. From a matchup standpoint, I think Lucas is the best option. He is probably faster than JJ and also pretty tall for a CB. JJ has the strength..

Annihilate Sayin is the best defense.

Sorry, but stats are about as useless as feelings. Can manipulate stats any way you want. And proof would be any stats rating OJ among top 3 corners in the country. Glad the young man is a Cane, but might be a reach promoting him as our best corner.
Pretty sure Mario referred to him as our best corner not that long ago when talking about him returning. Wish I could remember which interview it was

OJ isnt great at 50-50 island balls. But Damari is strong and sturdy and can wrestle with Jeremiah. I think he’s the best bet, and after him it has to be Lucas. Ethan is a dog but I dont think he is strong enough.

**** this boogeyman; Thomas and Scott coming out the smoke like John Wick. So tired of these tree nut motha ****az.

I don't think it particularly matters. OJ, Lucas, and O'Connor are our top 3 Cbs, and who knows if Damari will play. All 3 will be tasked with covering Smith and Tate regardless which of them lines up to their side.

Lucas - 251
O'Connor - 219
Brown - 149
OJ - 106
