Not that any of you care...But here goes

I don't think we can fire Diaz right now, he is on the hot seat and will be #1 on my list next year most likely.

1. James - puts everyone on notice and signals change, not to mention he deserves it.
2. Enos - Had no ol to work with +whole O hurt vs. duke sure...But he refused to adapt to OL weaknesses AND play calling in GT/FIU was horrific imo... huge ego
3. Banda (hate him)
4. Barry- little bit of a raw deal...but stubborn personnel and where is the recruiting???
5. Baker - D far less problem than offense...But we need a veteran in here so Diaz can be a HC. Enough learning on the job at Miami, that's a joke and our head coach is doing it right now to begin with.
6. Rumph (one of he or BANDA is a must...non-negotiable! we miss on too many kids/watch a team that can't throw win the game against DJ Ivey in a downpour)
7. Stubbs (not even terrible, don't understand his recruiting decisions)
8. Patke

I don't think you can fire Hickson because the way he has recruited this year, but if we lose Knighton in the next 2.5 weeks, he makes the list too... Stroud can leave or stay w me, but he has a nice haul coming in and probably deserves a another year. Pass rush inconsistent but still more good than bad from DL and he's landing kids. I'd keep Field no matter what and give him more responsibility, he should be #1 in Sofla...not inflicting Banda on these kids.

I believe at least 3 staff changes need to be made IN ADDITION TO JAMES

And 3 losses or worse next year (and maybe even at 3 depending on to who and how healthy we are) = Diaz goes next year.

Cool

1. James- Cut the head off the snake.
2. Enos- His historical output as OC was always average at best. This year it was stubborn and Jon Richt-esque.
3. Baker- There's no actual strategy to how he calls a defense. We basically played almost no good offenses this year which was why d-stats are skewed. Horrible in the clutch. Defensive alignments were terrible.
4. Banda- overrated in all aspects. All he has to do is coach safeties and pretend to gameplan as a co-dc (which hasn't been very good) behind Baker and Diaz. His coaching and recruiting are not good enough to stay.
5. Patke-Last of the 3 Diaz disciples. Coverage has been better and Hedley was a steal, but kicking game a disaster a lot of the year and linebacker play regressed.
6. Barry-did we give up a school record for sacks? He did have talent to work with (Donaldson, Scaife, Campbell, Clarke, etc) but a lot of those guys did not improve. Donaldson regressed under him. Oddly I'm on the fence with him and would give him one more year given the youth of the O-line. But the sacks.....the sacks my God.
7. Rumph- His cb recruiting leaves a lot to be desired when you look at the counterfactual: whom he could have had. But he gets good players among the ones he lands. This year (like most years) the waiting to offer Delancey so late (or have contact), and waiting on Brown, or not having enough backups at the end is typical. I am okay with his coaching (not popular I know).
8. Stubblefield-His wr recruiting has been okay. Better actually than I thought it would be, but is that good enough? I do think some guys have improved. Willing to give one more year like Barry and Rumph.
9. Field- This fat **** is a message board hero but what has he done? Hartley left him two studs to take over and where is the big splash? Was it Knighton? I'm lost as to this mythological hero's impact. Oh yeah, he had almost 0 d1 coaching experience (or any college experience) prior to this job.
10. Stroud-I can't tell if some of the gap control issues are his fault or Baker/Diaz/Patke. Pass rush has been solid and Rousseau will be amazing. Recruiting at the position continues to flourish whether it's his doing or the overall staff.

This is a hard one. All these coaches want to succeed and make us fans proud. Especially enos I think he really wanted to stick it to Saban and bama but so far unsuccessful

Good points on these 2...you worded your Baker complaints well...and that was something that eluded me, because overall the defense is still ahead of the offense... but he is TERRIBLE in the clutch, and lacks an overall strategy. WELL SAID. The way we get beat with draw plays and can't get off the field is mind boggling. And that 4th and 17, jesus that 4th and 17. Why blitz at all? Agree with everything you said regarding Baker, the ACC was not a good offensive conference at all outside of Clemson, Lou, Pre- injury BC, pre-injury Wake (And we didn't play those last two)...UNC was also a good but not great offense, and they put up numbers on us.

Barry was a tough call for me...But I don't understand him not knowing where he was early in the season with some of these guys...Sure you wanted Scaiffe to be a guard, I get it...But to throw those tackles out there (And then not bench or at least give a break) vs. UF? And again the guy seems like a lot of NFL guys that come to college, like recruiting is a pain in the a$$ to him...We need numbers BAD right now.

The first 6 on here just gives us a CHANCE to get in the right direction. Non-negotiable.

why not ?

Because you can't afford a recruiting class like last year...We have a monster group of early enrollees coming in 2 weeks...Sure I bet 1-2 of that group of like 17 bolt. But we need those players like oxygen with the way the class fell apart last year....You make a 2-3 year job into a 5-7 year job if you fire Diaz now because then you start looking at things like back to back 3-4 win seasons because there is simply NO TALENT instead of NOT ENOUGH talent... Diaz needs changes, but you keep him and then fire him in oct/nov next year if **** goes south again.

The sad part, IMO he doesn't get another AD job after this.
just like all the past 4-5 football HC'S Coker had a HC job at UT-San Antonio but Shannon, Golden &CMD Will never be an HC again.James is clueless and his lazy search for CMD means his future is tied to CMD.
nightmare scenario Blake is fired and replaced by his sidekick Strawely .BOT could pat themselves on back for diversity hire....how lucky were we with Sam Jankovic HOF
