Many of you are not going to like my opinion but I don't give a Fvck, just hear me out. I see Mark Richt as the next Phillip Fulmer or Tommy Tuberville. Guys who were great SEC coaches for a long time, but then slowly and surely declined into nothing.

Tennessee fired Fulmer for a reason, Auburn fired Tubberville for a reason, and now UGA has fired Mark Richt for a reason. Why else do you fire someone? They are underperforming and not exceeding expectations with their resources.

Richt used to be a savage, but in my opinion he doesn't have much left in the tank. If you watched him the past couple of years....he looks like he has no passion left what-so-ever. For a guy who brings in amazing recruiting classes year after year....I don't see the correlating results on the field.

Could we do a lot worse? Absolutely...FVCK Schiano and Cristobal, but If you guys want playoff appearances then you're looking at the wrong guy. Lately, Richt hasn't done anything in an awful division....the SEC East is pathetic and he has never been able to get over the hump.

I want a savage who is gonna bring back fire to the sidelines and coach like a maniac. I don't want a guy who can't even decide if he wants to still coach anymore....does that sound like a guy who has a blueprint for success? No, it sounds like a guy who is tentative. I want confidence, aggression, and "that dog"....those are the traits that built great coaches like Jimmy, Butch and Urban. I'm sorry guys Richt doesn't have it anymore.

Give me an old guy like Butch, who will coach with fire and a chip on his shoulder and with something to prove s. Or give me a young guy like Mullen who is an up and coming animal! Don't give me the minister and country club style coach. Is he Better than some of our options, and Folden? Yes, but he's not going to consistently get us to where we need to be. Some of you please wake up.

Does it really matter at this point who we prefer? Richt turns is down. Not sure Mullen is interested but why the **** would he stay in that place it offered. If those two turn is down I am afraid it's going to be Schiano. At least he has the fire.

Schiano would make me stab my eyes out, but still not a fan of Richt

Agree totally. Gimme butch or a young guy. Richt and were looking for our first coastal title. Not a championship

Like the factual analysis OP gave.

For you information both had losing records and did not make bowl games. Fullmer did that in 2 of his last 4 years. When they were fired.

Richt last 2 years.
#9 10-3 (lost best player)
#26 9-3 (lost best player)

Fullmer
10-4
5-7

Tuberville
9-4
5-7

Little different ends to their career

Savage is clearly the new cute adjective for this board.

Richt with our recruiting base and his ties from Georgia will be a force of it happens.
 
Richt might have won a lot if not for Urban...and than if not for Saban...and even Spurrier...some tough company...as for coming to Miami....u think he can beat Jimbo or Dabo??? Seems to fold against similarly equipped top programs with coaches that got 'it'
