I think a lot of you guys are going to be surprised at 1pm.

I just don’t see a 2 loss UGA, after losing their conference championship game, getting in over a 1 loss Oklahoma, that just avenged their only regular season loss by beating Texas to win a conference championship.

Yes, I know they had a double digit lead over Alabama. But the only score that counts is the one when the clock hits 00:00. An actual victory trumps a moral victory every time.

If Kirby’s whining and complaining gets them in then this **** is rigged

If mathematicians created a percentage lower than 0.0, that number would immediately be named "Georgia's chances of being in the CFP with two losses".

Perfect season to argue against 8 team playoff. Don’t need a 2 loss team without a conference champ or a team that lost to Purdue by 30 in the playoff. Clear cut as it gets this year

Meant to vote OU not Ohio state.

OU will be in.
Georgia- Lmao at getting in, the CFB world would come unglued. Last year there was a legitimate argument for two SEC teams. Not this year. If Bama doesn’t turn the ball over twice inside the red zone they beat Georgia much worse. Not to mention they got dominated by LSU.

What I would watch for is OU going to 3, and Notre Dame dropping to 4 just to help Bama out.

1 Bama vs 4 ND
2 Clemson vs 3 OU

5 Ohio state
6 Georgia

If there is truly a P5, I'd love to see the 5 conference champions + 3 at large in an 8 team playoff. I know, I know, the season is already too long. Fact is, once the $ part of it is figured out so the right wallets are fattened, the possibility may become reality.
If P5 Conference championships don't get you there, why do we call them P5?

Herbstreit and Maria Taylor (who's a UGA alumn) was pushing this narrative during the ACC game. They kept using eye test as a reason and UGA's strength of schedule.

My reasoning for Oklahoma is because they have 1 loss on the season and that was to Texas in a rivalry game and loss by 3 points. They just beat the very same Texas team in the Big 12 title game.

ESPN right now has Ohio State as the most likely to get into the playoffs amongst the 3 teams; which is odd considering how shaky their defense has looked all season and how they got whooped by Purdue this year.

I think UGA is going to get in because of ESPN pushing the SEC narrative. But OU deserves that 4th spot.

Why OSU ? Oklahoma was ahead of them going into this week and just beat a better higher ranked team than OSU did, it would make zero sense to have them over OU....if Georgia still gets in we need to just scrap college football

Yeah, I really have no idea what their playoff predictor is based on. But it said that Ohio State had a 71% chance of getting in, OU 26%, and UGA 5%.

In terms of UGA going in, they had their shot. They lost. You can argue 4 best teams and that UGA is one of them. But they had a brutal blow out loss to LSU and lost by a bone headed decision (fake punt) to Bama. If they didn't lose that LSU game in the fashion that they did, then you could provide a legitimate argument for UGA. Letting UGA in basically negates what goes on in a season.

But my vote would be for Oklahoma given that they avenged their one loss (which was by 3 points).

It absolutely should be Oklahoma

BUT, this is the same committee that allowed a team that wasnt even first place in it's own division a national championship based off of their name and conference. So...theyll probably do Georgia, and then the loser of bama vs Georgia 2.0 will go to the title game so we get to see that same game 3 times in one month, yay SEC!!

Expand it to eight teams it makes so much more sense. Put in the 5 conference champions and three at large. Bama, Clemson, ND and Oklahoma would all be in, then Ohio St, Georgia, UCF and Washington.

If this committee ***** OU and puts in Ohio State at 4 that’s a crime. Also, I would watch for Notre Dame to drop to 4 regardless of who is the new team in.

What should the rankings be if the main focus is choosing the four best teams?

Bama
Clemson
UGA
Oklahoma

What will the committee decide?

Bama
Clemson
ND
Oklahoma

It will be robbery if OU gets left out.

Absolutely. ND didn’t beat anyone all year but it’s a name brand so they’re in regardless. OU has to be in; they even showed the committee against Texas they played somewhat competent D.
