Doubt the next one will be magical.

But even fools can get lucky sometimes. Maybe the next one will be their big break.

Somebody of high authority at UM must actually care or be ****ed at the situation. Tell me who is that person.... cuz absent one it’s fn a very long summer.

He also would make the culture tougher. His game day coaching is average, but we would be beat Duke, GT, and FIU and getting this program back on solid ground at the least.

Agree to this too. I think good game day coaching can be ensured with proper coordinator hires. We expected Manny to be the CEO type and he’s failed at that as well. As a CEO type, Mario would at least establish the proper culture like you said and recruit top guys. Two things severely lacking right now despite the success we’ve had this past week recruiting some good guys (which we still ultimately don’t know where they will end up considering anything can happen in recruiting).

Has his shortcomings but Mario Cristobal. The only name out there that’s gonna take this job after firing a coach after 1 season. Immediately fixes the inept staff. Immediately fixes the way we botch recruiting south Florida (gotten better but still questionable). Immediately fixes the mentality of this ***** team.

Thats also probably the only name thats gonna hit the right BOT members to fork out the money to buy out Diaz and buyout another coach from somewhere else.

Realistically, hit up Matt Campbell out of Iowa State. Maybe Matt Rhule.

Both of those coaches are at programs that are better than ours now. That being said...Campbell may realize that he won't be winning any Big 12 Titles anytime soon so he might be interested......Rhule has the Baylor Program Rolling....also in the Big 12 but he wouldn't leave there to come here....that's a backwards move.

In any case I would be happy if we got either of them.

Never advocated for Mario before and I’m still not. Realistically we’re not hiring another HC that has been in a position to win a conference title in the P5, been mentioned in the playoff conversation, and someone pulling in top 10 recruiting classes.

Ask boosters to buy out Diaz and another coach and they’re gonna make sure they get who they wants and it’s gonna be Mario.

I would rather have an offensive minded guy like Norvell, Heupel, etc

Going to be killed for it but Bo Pelini is defensive genius and a savage. SEC roots. He was Successful at Nebraska which isn't easy to do. Abrasive personality rubs Admin the wrong way but we need an *******. He is affordable and won't put us in a bidding war. Right OC with him would be important.

Marvin Lewis is another guy who could come without a bidding war. Did more with less for years in Cincinnati. Teams always played with an edge on Defense. Leaning the college game at Arizona State currently.

Luke Fickel is someone I could work with. Good Pedigree. Worked under an elite coach. Turned around Cincinatti.
